I wouldn't leave that to chance, mate. Haven't you got a gun shop nearby you can go to? They'll only charge a few quid.

 How on earth can you expect someone else's chrono results to pertain to your gun in any way? Are you mad? (Unless of course I've misinterpreted what your asking).

So how would that work then ????:D

I would think your gun would be around 11.5ftlbs.
And around 780 ish fps. In .177.
What somebody else’s gun is doing is totally irrelevant.

You can't be so poor as a student that you can't afford a £40 Combro CB625. Not necessarily immediately but you could save up...only £10 a week would get you a combro in a month.

And no, the idea in your original post is not going to work. :D

If you have more patience than money there is a free method of determining what fps your gun produces, using your computer. as explained here: http://www.reviewcentre.com/review_comments156260.html
I haven't tried this yet, but its said to be quite accurate.
Wish I was poor enough to buy a daystate x2

do you think it will be that accurate? the math behind it is sound, no question but surely a pc microphone can't be sa accurate as a chrono

There is more discussion about the microphone chrono here and on airsoft sites. http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2005/08/do-you-really-need-chronograph.html
I have not yet tried it, but I've read that it is accurate to within a couple of fps. Is there anything computers can't get for free?

Why should it be completely obvious to someone new to airguns or with no knowledge of engineering, that two guns of the same make and model (or any machines for that matter) will behave differently?

Hands up everyone here who's never asked a stupid question when new to something.

Hello,

Might be you got that X2 by chance, might also be you are really to poor to buy a Chrono.

I'd like to suggest 2 solutions

1 Get a work and make some extra money.

2 Take part in the next available comp ( FT/HFT ) have a nice & exiting Sunday, including getting aware if you are over the limit. I doubt that, but if, there are a lot of fine fellas that will & can help you.
The risk is, it could happen that you are more open for solution N.1 afterwards, for you'll see  a lot off things you'll urgently need :D

Here's one for the student, shoot your gun into the yellow pages and then send someone the same type of pellet and the yellow pages. When they've done they can send you it back. Laugh out loud:D :D :D :) :)

What utter sh|te...I'm going to forward this to RobinHewitt on here hoping hope he takes legal action against you under the libel laws.

How are Combro's dangerous...I suspect from your comment you're not smart enough to use one properly.

Inaccurate? Nonsense, my Combro tracks my F1 Shooting Chrony within 1FPS.

Unreliable? B0IIox! I've had mine for 2 years and the only trouble I had with ti was when I attached a 9V battery (instaed of using the battery holder and 4 1.4 AAs :o ). Robin then replaced my CB625 for free. That's the kind of service you don't often see.

I know it might seem I'm doing a bit of a Sniper22 (sorry Tony ;) :D ) for Combro on here but it makes me want to throw up when I see nonsense like this posted which could afftect the business of a company that has done so much for their customers.

Do yourself a favour and make sure you have your facts straight before you post eejit boy

Weevie , I can give you names of people who have shot their fingers using Combros, don't you think that is dangerous?
I do.
I have used one and I managed it without shooting mine. It just was not accurate, a mate asked me to reset his gun as his combro was registering low. I checked it with my TT and the club's TT, and the gun was fine. As are my facts.

Weevie

Weevie , I can give you names of people who have shot their fingers using Combros, don't you think that is dangerous?
I do.

..and I can give you the name of at least one person who's shot themselves in the foot whilst resting their muzzle on their boot...and I'm sure people on here can give you the names of shooters that have hurt/damaged their fingers because they haven't kept hold of their underlevers whilst loading a pellet.

Combro do reccomend using a thick rubber band to hold the chrono to the barrel (I use velcro personally) but you can't legislate for eejits.

Facts....I think you're talking about personal anecdotal evidence here not facts.

Unreliable, inaccurate? Care to back those up in the same way (i.e. poorly) as you've backed this claim up.

Thenks Weevie but I don't think there's even much point in replying to luddite, you don't feed the trolls

I do try not to blow my own trumpet because commercial posts aren't allowed on here, but as Ed sells cb-625 perhaps once might not hurt.

I do my level best to improve accuracy, reliability and quality. Plus I test them all, personally, before they go out, I promise 1% and test them to 0.5% on the speed. Quality control takes a lot of time and money but I think it's worth it.

I always try to help. I don't think persuading the customer to stop complaining is the same a fixing the problem. I don't stop service after an arbitrary warranty period and you don't adopt your cb-625 when you buy it, if I sell you a dud I will replace it rather than repair it.

Dented 625's may become inaccurate and be a bad advert for the product, so I do cosmetic repairs for free. You don't even need a stamp to send it back. There's a fixed price repair if you demolish it so you always know where you stand.

Guns are dangerous, so when using a 625 you should always have it pointing in a safe direction just in case you whang a shot off the case. Do I really need to say never put your fingers over the muzzle of a loaded gun, especially while pulling the trigger or while someone else is holding it?

Fair enough Robin...

Sorry if this all rather looks like good cop/bad cop against luddite but reliable well priced products and excellent service are rare enough in the world today as it is and I hate to see them being rubbished in front of people who may not yet have sufficient information to be able to discriminate between fair comment and scurrilous @rse gravy.

Anybody, who after the negative comments on here, has been put off the CB625 chrono, should do a seach on Combro and judge for yourself the balance between stunningly positive comments and negative comments on here.
