I've seen a few posts on here mentioning the cocking/loading procedure on the Tx200 and suggesting that it's something of an aquired technique. I was trying a Pro Sport the other night (fantastic rifle - thanks John! ) and loading that seemed straightforward enough. So is the TX different, and if so, how?

Cheers!

only that a tx has the underlever going the whole barrel length

and is it only me who finds the alloy extrusion on the pro sport uncomfortable?

No it's not just you - I don't like that bit either (which is partly why I'd prefer the TX).

I don't trust the antibeartrap and keep my right hand on the underlever at all times, loading with my left hand - I'm left handed. Once you get into the habit it's pretty easy. Gets more difficult in the winter as my fingers get too cold to grip the underlever, even with a cocking aid, and so tend to use break barrels when the temperature drops.
