Cracking gun in either stock;, I'm setting mine up for FT use with a Leupold 18-40, can't get on with raiser blocks etc. anymore. Accuracy and consistency are on a new plane.

What do they cost with a stock like your mate? i like the action but hate the look of the FT/match stocks, but the skeletal stock looks good.

£780 with the hunter stock.

Thanks mate.
If it has the same spec action as the FT stocked rifle that seems a good old deal does that. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)-->

That don't look like much Tman, sorry m8, now my Pro Target, is a true one off ask anyone who has seen & played with it looks the business & does the job.
I must say thou, l like the Hunting version, OK oppersition is real hard to beat, especially when it's up against multi shot rifles, but that weight thing will steer people to it. when you compair that to the new Falcon I know what one i'd have that's for sure, & it an't the T-Bird <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)-->

i have seen you your pro target Darren and i have to admit that it is rather ropey m8 i cant understand why you spent all that money on a hyrdografix dip and all that other stuff to make such an ugly gun <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::D--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::)--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::p-->

I like the look of the hunter version too but it looks like it would be hard to fit a moderator and that puts me off a bit.
Lionel
Sorry but it looks like the contents of a scaffolders scrap bin to me.

This isn't a rifle you buy for its finish. The black stock is truly basic. Granted I could buy fine blueing and high grade walnut for less, but in many years of shooting I have never handled anything that comes as close to perfection. What you have here is a lightweight rifle with very rapid target acquisition capable of demolishing both a FT course or a bunny. The only thing I have shot that compares with the speed of handling is an H&K MP5; now that was fun!

Thanks for the mail - do they come in FAC ? and who are the dealers ?
Waelwulfas
14-07-2003, 06:17 PM
www.mendipclays.co.uk (http://www.mendipclays.co.uk) www.rakaguns.co.uk (http://www.rakaguns.co.uk)
that I know of. According to Steyr they're not exporting the FAC version to UK at this time. This seems to clash with the story from the dealers who say their rifles are derated in the UK. It looks like for whatever reason Steyr don't want the higher powered version sold.

If anyone would like the particulars on this upgraded Steyr try www.pilkguns.com/zmlg100ft.htm (http://www.pilkguns.com/zmlg100ft.htm) the work on it is outstanding.
By the way, this is an great site, I've been lurking around for awhile, figured it was time to jump in and say "Howdy from Dallas!"
P.S. We still don't know who shot J.R., but we know it wasn't an air gunner. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)-->
