I want to practice my 10 metre shooting at 6metres (thats all i have room for indoors)and I used to have a 10m target that had been scaled to appear the size of a full sized one at 6m that I down loaded from the net. Thing is i cant find it anywhere <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_frown.gif" alt="Frown" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::(-->....
...Do any of you know where i can get one from or...how scaling down a target works ie. would say a 100mm wide target at ten metres appear the same as 60mm target at 6 metres???
Regards
Alex

Get hold of a 10 m target from the net and print it at 60% in your page setup dialogue box.

The 'one' ring on a 10 metre air-rifle target is 45.5mm and the 'black' is 30.5mm

You only need the 'black' for training.

First convert everything to millimetres or metres.

Hence, at 10,000mm (10 m) the black is 30.5mm

Therefore, at 6000mm (6m), the black proportionally reduces to:

30.5 x 6000 / 10,000 = 18.3mm

Why not just buy some 6M rifle targets. I'm sure someone on here shoots at a target club and could post you a couple to scan and print.

If I had one left I'd email you a scan.

If the targets are appropriately scaled down from the 10 metre version, that would work. Otherwise it can be a problem if he has only one size of fore-sight insert - usually 4.0mm on average.

Tried to email you a target but the address in your profile does not exist or so the response said...

If you can provide me a valid address I will mail you a scan. My email is in my profile

Yeah I'm using a weiarauch diopter sight on my HW90 (fac 19ft/lbs) and a piece of kitchen worktop as a back stop, though it shoots through that after 3 shots to the bull <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::D--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::D-->.
practice at 6m on a 0.5 mm bull with a 19ft/lb gas ram is realy challanging, plus 6m zero is spot on at 47m very handy indeed when i manage to leave the house!

Try Ian Pellants software, he has 6m rifle and pistol targets you can print out.

Ian Pellant Airgun 7.5 software (http://home.hiwaay.net/~ispellan/SetupAirGun.exe)

the above should download the file.
