To connect my recently aquired Superten to my standard bottle/hose ?? I would prefer to remove the hose and put something on the guage to receive the bottle directly if that's possible. Is the Rapid the same size and would it's charging equipment work on the S10 bottle ??

You normally unscrew the hose from the gauge block and the bottle thread should match the threaded hole in the gauge block.

The O-ring on the bottle doesn't seal the bottle onto the block however, you need to insert a special 'chunky plastic washer' into the block first. The front face of the bottle valve then seals against the hard plastic washer.

The gauge block on my tank is made by MDE and is a silver colour. The washer that you need is available from MDE (think Bob sells them too). S10 and rapid bottles have the same thread, I think.

Yes Rapid same as s10
the washer you would need is a DELRIN Washer

I Run a Universal femail off my connector and have spare males with pipes or adapters fitted, which are kept in each gun bag.

I get my Brass adapters from Bars, was cheaper than getting them made up.

Some buddy bottles need a delrin others do not.
Most dealers carry spares.

The Air Gun Valve which Midland make and supply can come either with a pipe 1/8 or a Rapid / Superten threaded receiver.

As Midlands Air Gun Valve can not be used by Divers , the bottles on needs a Five year test.
Plus cheaper and more compact that the old Din Version.

But using the universal saves then need to keep unbolting the thread.

I carry a box of spares @ Lea Valley on Saturdays as normally someone is adding a gun to there collection and needs another connector.
Or waking up to the fact it easier to use this method if they own more than one precharge rifle or pistol.

Managed to Get Male valves with No Valves , so ideal for direct bleeding.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I visited our club tonight and got a brass adapter that screws onto the gauge block 1/8 BSP thread and allows me to screw the buddy into that.. I like the idea of the universal adapter though and I think I'll work on those lines next. Worth the trip tonight as I picked up a brand new buddy and magazine for 30 squidlies.. result

Thanks again
