View Full Version : Daystate MK3-Problem Solved
Having been spoken at by Mister Belas today, and following his recommendation of not wishing to deal with me further, I no longer have any problems with MK3 Daystate Rifles number two and three, as I have returned them for a full refund, and also cancelled my order for two Harrier Xs.
Regards
Robin

Hi Kev,
I've offered it to Pete, as I've become so disillusioned over the whole sketch, but obviously he can't/won't get it until it is up to scratch.

Any chance D state have gone down the same route as Logun with the S16 and getting them assembled in Belgrade?? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_frown.gif" alt="Frown" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::(-->

Not quite sure how you got number 3 - was that number three of the Mark B version?
I am not sure if AofA are on this BBS but I know that Airguns of Arizona had to go through a batch load of 50 of the guns - so I can assume that they would have a good idea of current build and QC control.
I was a bit surprised to hear that your stock had anything OTHER than an oil finish for a gun that runs - in the US - $1,500 bucks!!!!
I am sure Mr. Belas of Daystate will like to make a comment on this.
my poor mans mk3 (harrier x) is spot on. its got the handraulic trigger and no reg. its boringly accurate and with a manders/rws/daystate compact silencer fitted, near silent.
only probs i had was me not loading the mags right.

The Daystate Mk3 has been the most successful product ever, for their courier company <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::D--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Roll Eyes" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::rolleyes:-->

Perhaps some clarification might be in order?
Is one to assume from your post that it was Daystate themselves that asked for the guns back?
In a nutshell....
I shouldn't have "posted an embellished story on the BBS for all to see". Apparently I did in fact get one aspect of my comment wrong, in that I misunderstood that I was getting grade four wood, when in fact I wasn't. So I am most terribly sorry for that misunderstanding.
I don't want to get into a slanging match, but let's just say I won't buy another rifle from Mister Belas, and he won't sell me one.

As far as I know only Grade 4 wood is available on the guns being shipped to AofA so maybe therein lies my confusion.
A shame that your relationship with Daystate has soured to the point where neither can resolve a couple of problems.
What do you intend on replacing them with?

Is daystate gonna say anything on the above issue of quality control with the mk 3 ???

I think the amount of them with troubles says how good the quality control is. At least you dont theoben owners coming up with new faults every other day.

On a personal note, I have never found Mr Belas (or indeed Lynn - the first point of contact when you phone Daystate) anything but professional and helpful in their customer relations. I have also had nothing but cheerful help from Mr Cooper at Falcon.
