hello fellow airgun enthusists, a little something about my TX200
well i must say i really wanted a HW97 FAC but i was talked out of it with the option to return the TX200 MKIII.
with that i said ok send me the gun.at this time im not going to go into the service of the dealer but i will later once i have the TX for a bit.
out of all the airguns i have seen this is a pretty nice piece.so now it was time to see what it could was capable of instead of just holding and looking while saying hmmmm.
laid a 8-32x50 BSA Cont on top and got it all settled in. went to my indoor shooting range to see what all the hype was about. i choose the Crosman 7.9 Prem FT instead of the Daystate 8.44 gr that im told shoot the best. guessing this is at their altitude and air conditions.
i have found some folks who think the Crosman 7.9 is more accurate.the 7.9 shooters shoot in the same enviroment and conditions as i do.
out of the box at 10 meters its dead on.very very tight groups, this gun will shoot numerous pellets in the same hole with ease.
i had tried one before with better trigger action.
nothing a screwdriver and a few minutes on a bench cant cure.
a friend of mine was saying how he shot a .25 piece (quarter US). told me he bent it blaa blaa blaa, shot with a cheap Co2 gun. so i taped a penny .01 US to a phonebook. at 10 meters w/Crosman .177 7.9 gr FT pellet.
i was pretty impressed after taking the shot i watched the penny disappear into the phonebook. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_eek.gif" alt="Eek" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::eek:-->
phonebook was behind a heavy piece of cardboard, it blew the penny through the cardboard, and through the phonebook to page 106.
you could hear parts of the penny fall inside the box.opened up the box took out the phonebook only to find fragments of copper penny.
next i will put the penny in a vice and see if i can put a hole clean through it.
thanks for listening to my rambling, thought others might be interested in my little ballistic test.
