TX200 Tuning

Every now and again I see ads for "Tuned" Air Arms springers. Now I can appreciate that they can be tuned for FAC but can tuning make any difference at 12ftlbs - given that they already come with Delrin bearings etc? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_confused.gif" alt="Confused" width="15" height="22"><!--graemlin::confused:-->

I'm not about to blow my own trumpet m8, but i've recently done a few 200 & SR's for members on here, ask around.... <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)-->

Had my SR done by Venom and reblued at the same time, so not only does it look fantastic it shoots like a dream. AA out of the box are hard to beat, but they do step up a gear when tuned IMHO.

Have a gun, that you know, tuned and see the difference.

I have an SR from SBSD.

Couldn't agree more Jonathan, it was actually the Venom stage 1 kits I installed in the recent TX's i've done. I was thinking of this for my SR later this year, £135 for a full laser glide conversion, some folk at my club have said that it wont make much of a difference, but having read all the post on hear about Venom i think i'll take the plunge and invest, by the way how much would the bluing cost? and is it worth the extra.

80 quid. Venom bluing is legendary but try ISP. They are cheaper (iirc) and their bluing is considered to be outstanding.

To be honest theres not much that can be done if the gun is already in good running order as the AA springers are already running in "Lazaglide" mode, a decent spring with correct damping, along with correct fitting guides (they are good as std) and thats about it really, I fit Venom piston washers if thats what the owner wants but the difference in shooting is negligeable

A kit from AA or Chambers will rejuvinate a tired TX and is so easy to do its hardly worth paying someone to fit it <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::D-->
