Yep that's the one!!!
It was lovely, where exactly does it fit in with the rapid range? Is this an un official MKIII or something??? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_confused.gif" alt="Confused" width="15" height="22"><!--graemlin::confused:-->

Can they be FAC'ed? At a later date?
It was going to be the mkIII and the first test rifles were but then they changed it to MFR because of its uses.

I believe it's a normal barrel with intergrated silencer, making it look like a bull barrel.
The Airgun Centre (http://www.theairguncentre.co.uk) has some in stock, tell em The Bad Boy sent ya, for a tasty discount, or maybe just a tin of free pellets <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::D--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::D-->

Hi all,
I'm not particularly a Rapid fan but I quite liked the spec. and look of this new MFR, so I emailed Theoben a few days ago and got the following answer on the 17th.
Dear Sandy
Thank you for your enquiry.
The MFR should be available around September time. This is why it is not on our website at the moment.
The cost of the MFR is £795.00. Mounts are not standard but these are part of the payment of £795.00.
There are no plans for a F/T stock at present. But we can do it with a CS800 thumbhole stock.
Yours sincerely
Theoben Ltd
I'm wondering how the shop mentioned has MFR's for sale if they're not out 'till September?
I can certainly understand some review units out in the field, so to speak but didn't think any would actually be available now.
Baz, as you have one of these review units, what method would you recommend to fit a 30mm tube 'scope, e.g. a BSA big 60.
The magazine article showed a "riser" fitted in the lower section of the mount.
Do you think Theoben will have these to supply, or will they be supplied with the fitted mounts?
Any reason that Theoben have regressed back to non standard mounts? Step in the wrong direction, IMHO, after sorting it for the MkII

Yes, I remember the pics of your bullpup l/h Rapid and I know ans-ltd has had it done to his. I just wish Theoben would join the small group that do it as a factory option. Excuse me while I shoot that Gloucester Old Spot passing overhead....

Sandy, firstly I had better state that I "had" rather than "have" a MFR before someone else starts whinging <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)-->
The one I had was same as the magazines had, I think there are only four doing the rounds at the moment but I aint sure
I have some risers you can have if you need some, its certainly a nice gun to use, I had better add that I dont get free guns from Theoben or anyone else as that old chestnut seems to be doing the rounds again <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)-->
If I like a particular gun of any make I think I should be allowed to say so, I expect some whinger will start saying I get freebie Sakos soon <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Roll Eyes" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::rolleyes:-->
Its a larf innit <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)-->

Me too, or to be correct I had somebody do it for me, and it is a relatively simple job.
I just don't understand why Theoben won't do a proper LH bolt - it's the only thing that lets the Rapid down for me. Theoben told me around a year ago that they were going to do one, but they recently told me that they had no intention of doing it. From what I can see it wouldn't be hard to make them convertible between RH and LH using a dummy bolt-gate as a blanking piece.

I'm confused about the mounts. Admittedly, I haven't read any magazines lately, so all I've have learned is from the BBS.
Are the mounts the same as the current Rapids? I hope so as this could mean I could fit my spare 1" risers and reach fowards as well as 30mm mounts.
Cheers,
Guesty.

There's a picture of my old Rapid on here somewhere (long time back) with a bull barrel silencer on it. I had to use the 280cc bottles to allow for the bigger diameter barrel/silencer.
Worked a treat though, really quiet.
