Why is it people with real problems or troubles with they're airguns only get viewed but get no help!

I don't think you are being entirely fair there, people get quite a lot of help on here - i suppose it depends what you want.

Common probs with popular guns have been covered a thousand times before, but if it is something more out of the ordinary it has to be a case of waiting until someone who has encountered that problem comes on.
Turning it around, the posts that make me laugh are the (usually newcomers') posts that ask a question, then an hour later they post again along the lines "come on then, where is everyone, what's the matter with you all" etc etc.

My point is that somebody's asked for some help to sort out his mates Airsporter,he's posted 2-3 times and been viewed 13-14 times.Surely someone could put him on the right track.

I don't know about not getting help! New to air gun shooting I have asked for help twice and on both occasions help has been forthcoming - and quickly. The advice given has been great and I would just like to say that I think this site is wonderful - as are, of course, those wonderful people who keep an eye on us!!

Whilst there are 6500 members on here you can guarantee that only a small percentage know how to strip/clean/re-assemble their guns. If i know the answer to a question then i'll help but as i've only been in the game a couple of years myself i find myself sitting back and learning. I've only ever owned a few guns so my knowledge is small compared to others. By and large if there's someone out there who knows the answer you'll get a reply. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:;)-->

Why post a bull reply if it aint going to help, let those that know get home from the coast/shooting/bbq etc reply.
Or if your that desperate for help, you cant wait for help to come, go down a gun shop.
Avise on here is normaly free and very good, maners cost nothing either.

I've only been on here for a day or two as a Newbie but spent some time earwiging before joining. What I have noticed is that someone somewhere will answer your question no matter how often that same question has been asked. Sometimes the answer is somewhat terse eg 'Question: What's better, 177 or 22', or 'I want to shoot homosexuals, what cal do you recomend?'. But generally speaking what I've seen is that this is a helpful site.
This is from a Newbies point of view.

Shut the hell up with this type of remark. This sport is under scrutiny and reference to shooting homosexuals does us no credit.

Answers;
1) .22 of course
2) .177 - but dont shoot them with it,just insist they use it - eventually they'll bore each other to death discussing trajectory/windage/ shooting cushions etc..
