A 14.3 gr. Crosman Premier would have to have a muzzle velocity of nearly 4000 fps. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_eek.gif" alt="Eek" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::eek:-->

Yeah he has got FT LBS mixed up with FPS probably, because the Ratcatcher does 500-550 FPS with .22 pellet, which is about 8-9 Ft/lb.
But never the less it is pretty funny.

I have a Ratcatcher. They are quite good, the are very light and very short, it is sort of a gun you can take anywhere.
I have never used it for what it is really for, killing rats in barns, but people say it fits this purpose very well. I have only ever used it for plinking and the like. But other than shooting rats in enclosed places the use of it as a hunting rifle is question, e.g you couldn't really shoot rabbits at any distance with it, over 20 yards. But i see no reason why you could not shoot squirrls etc. at close range around trees.
It produces about 8-9 ft/lb, 550 FPS is stated in the Manual with a 14.3 .22 pellet. You get about 30-35 full power shots from a CO2 capsule.
If you look on the Crosman website, www.crosman.com, (http://www.crosman.com,) they have a new model of the Crosman Ratcatcher, '2250' is it's offical name, the new version comes with a disposable large CO2 tank, which gives 200 + shots, however i am not sure if simmons is importing this yet.
