MAy AGW shows SLR98 with Walnut stock

I noticed a review of the SLR98 (not all that glowing a review by AGW standards either) that showed an SLR98 with walnut instead of Hedua stock.

And frankly not all that nice a bit of walnut for a 550 quid gun.

Also a tad surprised that the groups seemed a bit large.

Or maybe I just got too used to shooting the Rapid where .50 groups at 45 yards is more the norm than at 30.

Haven't seen the review but a couple of things, they do all come with walnut now. The last batch was good but not stunning. I think its because they use Custom stocks in Sheffield whose walnut has always been very average. Still a great gun though. One thing i have noticed with mine, its groups tighten up considerably with the silencer on but then it looks ugly. My solution is a carbon fibre full length silencer with heavy baffles to bring the weight a touch forward without the need for the grenade launcher silencer .
