I noticed a crosspin on the block, near the breech, but not sure if the barrel is forced/threaded inside the block..
Like to know if everyone has ever done this job.

Thanks,
Roberto

First thoughts... Eaaaggghhhh...

Why can't you just replace barrel and block as one - never tried to seperate the two, why for you wanna try ? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::p-->

If you remove the barrel, unless you are a good engineer, the structure will be weakened and all sorts of trouble will result. Buy another barrel! The joint is probably heat/cool shrunk on as well as pinned.

Except for Webley Hawk Mk IIs which had barrels which could be swapped in the way you desire ... but these are not great rifles even when new.

I asked the same question a while back:
