I have just got myself a rapid 7 and have found that the Evolution silencer to be a tad on the loud side.
So with that in mind dos the Vortex adapter make much of a diffrence or am I better going for a logun silencer?

the vortex end cap may make it sound louder to the shooter,as it is designed to throw the noise back rather than forward (down range),it is quieter down range though, thats for sure

I really think it depends on each gun, i've used the Vortex,Evo & Logun silencer on a few rapids and some are better on different guns, take my FAC MK2 the Evo seems the best on there yet my 12ftlb MK1 had the Logun on it.

Thanks for the info on how the Vortex works but with this in mind I think I will go for the logun.

I have a logun on mine. It is marginally more quiet.
Though when standing down range the "zip" of the pellet in flight is as loud or even loader than the muzzle blast!(IMO)
