www.neftahunter.co.uk (http://www.NEFTAHunter.co.uk)

This is an open HFT event, just turn up, book in and have fun. No need to be a member of NEFTA or the BFTA and no need to Pre-Book.

There are two sessions - first one starts at 9am, 2nd at about 11:30am.

It's a full 30 peg, 30 target HFT course shot to UKAHFT format and guidelines.

There are no winners as such, so no shoot-offs to wait around for etc, no trophies, and no presentation ceremony at the end.

We do run an award scheme though - Gold, Silver and Bronze merit badges for those that reach the required standards. These are at a cost that everyone can afford.

The price is just 3.50 for adults and 2.00 for Juniors (under the age of 15). Everyone's welcome, shooters and non-shooters alike.

Hope to see you all there

Get some uphill practice in guys. And downhill as well, GFTC has a very varied terrain and we have taken full advantage of this.;)
Good luck to all who attend the GFTC ground on the 13th.:)

I'll see if I can sort one out Andy, if not enter Dibb Lane, (junction with Leeds Road), Guiseley, Leeds in your say nav. I'll try that in mine and see if it works.:)

Just to reiterate...

These events are shot to the 2006 UKAHFT course setting guidelines - i.e. 8-45 yards, 15mm-45mm killzones etc. 30 targets, 30 pegs - 3 standers, 3 kneelers etc. The only very slight difference is that there aren't any shots marked as prone only.

And you can walk the course before you shoot it ;)

Well, yeah we generally don't have a problem with that until it starts getting abused. The UKAHFT events used to allow you to walk the course before an event, but then that started getting abused with people apparently going round with laser rangerfinders etc.

It's not an open rule of the Hunter series that you can walk the course beforehand, that's down to the individual hosting club to decide. If you want to have a mooch round at the course beforehand, it's good manners to ask one of the hosting club officials if it's ok and don't automatically assume that you have the right.

Just common sense and common curtesy really.

Ahem - LS19 7JE ;)

LS19 7 is good, can't vouch for the JE bit though. If you input Guiseley, Dibb Lane, junction with Milner's Road into your sat nav though it will take you to within spitting distance.;)
We at GFTC will not object to anyone having a butchers, but no suspicious packages to be carried. :D
Hot food will be available from the same van that supplied us at our Winter League shoot.:)

LS19 7JE is the address of the factory unit about 100 yards from the club ;)

You can get a pretty good aerial view of the club grounds by going to Local.Live.com and searching for LS19 7JE

Would like to be the first, but hopefully not the last, to thank all the lads at Guiseley for a great day. I really enjoyed the course, that wind was ermm, interesting to say the least. Great use of the mixed terrain. The rain even held off. Good company as always. A real pleasure. :)

Again, a great big thanks must go to the organizers of the Hunter series. Another smooth comp. Looking forward to the last one of the season at Emley Moor. :)

Paul.

A personal BIG THANKS to Trev Ryan for remembering to bring my prezzie this time. :p ;)

Excellent day, cracking course and a swine of a wind - hurricane is more like it :D

Scores are on the doors now -

Overall Standings (http://www.samtec.hostinguk.com/neftahunter/Pub/Ui/Results/Results.aspx)

Well done to Keith Wooley and Keiran Turner for some outstanding shooting in extremely difficult conditions.

Well done also to Keiran Turner and Steven Stanbridge on winning a 4th Gold badge and their Phoenix awards.

Well done to Harvey Astell and Dave Semmens for joint 1st place in the recoiling class. The first time we've seen Harv at a NEFTA Hunter round and he walked away with a gold on the most difficult event we've had so far.

Oh and well done to Paul Wilson, who now can't be beaten in the Gold winners open league.

Another cracking shoot :) Well done to all the Guiseley crew for a well thought out course + opening up part of the wood that I have never seen before.

I turned up at 9am and strolled up the hill - stood and watched 8 people have a go at target 6 and not one of them hit metal  - had to stop watching at that point as it was too upsetting :D

Looks like we have 5 Phoenix hopefulls for the last round at Emley - who will crack under the pressure ;)

Well done on the speedy results Bri - you are a star.

Hard luck Mart "3 crows" Owens - better luck next time :p

Dave.
