Here is my initial impression of this scope.
Similiar to the 3x12 and 4x16 ,it comes "fully loaded" with sunshade,6 inch wheel, soft bag, allen keys, cleaning cloth, lens covers and a lens cover adjusting tool.
It also has an illuminated multi line scb reticule (xmas tree).
As someone who has owned leupolds,Hakko`s,tasco custom shops , bsa`s and nikko sterlings this is a real bargain.
The Wheel is nice and smooth and turrets are nice and positive.
I`ll be setting it up tomorrow and i`ll give you some more feedback.
Absolute bargain at £299.
See pic below.

Any idea of how the light transmission is at dusk on 8 power?
I am very interested in one of these, but would also need to use it for the odd bit of rabbitting in low light conditions, without using a lamp. Any info would be much appreciated.

I may well be intrested in one of these. I look forward to seeing how it fares.

low light transmission is excellent on this scope added to the illuminated ret it was getting quite dark and still a good picture. At 32x focus is down to about 12 yrd , optically it is awesome , the ret is fine enough not to loose it and not thick enough to be a problem and with the .5moa aim points its got to be more user freindly, as said build quality is good and everything that shoud do has a positive feel to it , focusing is a snap to picture not like some scopes where you waver above and below a sharp picture and a very smooth sidewheel movement, it seems like a lot of thought has gone in to producing this scope and putting it on the market as a complete package, the service mtc give matches the quality of the scope, all in all for its price its definitely great value for money
(and all this before its mounted and dialled in lol)

Just got back from Bisley and i`ve put the viper through its paces.
The range finding is pretty good on par with Bsa`s and Nikko sterlings.I`ve opted to use the smaller wheel and the markings between 35-55 are around 2mm every 5 yds.I tried the big 6 inch wheel and this increases to around 4 mm.
It will Range find down to just under 15 yds on 32 mag.
The reticule on the Viper is a dream to use making bracketing and holding over very easy.
For hunting, sft and club level ft i`ve not seen better for the price.
Hopefully i will shoot a ft course tomorrow at Ottmoor and this will more informative.
:)

I bought one today. I compared it outside the shop at dusk directly with the Nikko 6-24x56 AG IR. The light transmission and image quality on similar magnifications was much better with the MTC. Not a lot different from my Leupold EFR 6.5-20 x40. Seems well made. Really like the illuminated ret. Will set it up this week.

I tried one on saturday on a friends gun, The scope was good but the large wheel was too big, I couldn't get my hand round it, I had to hold it on the edge, which made it difficult to turn. With a smaller wheel the scope would have been spot on, nice and bright, with accurate markings.

These are nice scopes i saw a 3-12 today at lea valley for the first time. I would say the optics are about the same as my eb sniper. Im not to sure on the ret though.

sorry chaps

Minimum order for silver is 100 and I'm not too sure we'd sell 100 silvers

It is a shame as the silver ones do look the part ! Thats on top of an already very nice scope indeed .
