A bit of help please guys
A friend of mine was given a Walther LP mod 53 serial no 054225,
anyone know how old it is and an approx price.
its in prity good condition slight scratch to the blueing a bit faded on the barrel from cocking, no rear sight and no box.

I have bumped up a previous thread on the LP53
I hope this helps
I guess the missing rear sight brings the pistols value down a bit
I have no idea how much a sight will cost or if still available new in UK
I think Beeman carried some spares
Maybe someone on this site can help you out. I do seem to remember someone else on here recently asking for a part of a LP53 rear sight

Re age, mine is serial No 021540 and back in 1980 I found (via Accuracy International) that it was made in 1957 - hope that helps you a bit.
Don't want to sell it do you? I could do with another one!

thanks for the info mate as i said its a friends and i would love to buy it of him but hes seen a letter in one of the mags about the polish copies and mentioning that the originals are rare he thinks its worth a lot more than
it is.
