Testing the water so to speak.
I have around 7 early mid 1800? Original BP American rifles.
From what I can remember, they consist of a couple are Squirrels, two or three Buffalo, a couple of under hammer buggy, an early Remington target/hunting rifle. All are in shooting condition.
But as you know they would all have to be on a FAC to do this in this country.
The calibres are all over the place, as they where are all hand made, by some good old boys in the Back woods. :D

I don’t have any moulds for them.
None of them have a false muzzle.

Would anybody be interested in these if I advertised them?

Price range would be anything between £350-£700 and postage well?
£20? They each weigh a ton.

I don’t want to knacker myself out getting up in the loft to bring them all down if nobody is interested in them. :D

And as they are antiques and m/l they could be held as collectables off ticket if the owner was not going to shoot them.

Going by the amount of email I received I don’t think I made it quite clear as to what these are!

Apparently my original letter seems to have been misunderstood.

My Rifles are ORIGINAL 1800-1870? B.P. Percussion rifles, they are not modern reproduction, and they are certainly not modern reproduction made to look like antiques.

Which means anybody can own them, as they are Antiques, to look at, hang on the wall, fondle, whatever.

You cannot shoot them not unless you put them on an FAC.

However just to clear up whatever misunderstanding they may have been, I have shot most, if not all of them, when I took them out to France.
I still have a few left out there a Mule ear for a start.

I hope to get a few Photographs with prices up very soon.
;)

There is a Dutchman looking to exchange a brand new Hw100 for a BP gun, see http://www.luchtbuks.net/index.php?showtopic=17938

While I assume your Dutch is not so fluent as it used to be, most of the Dutch speak very good English.

Alternatively, I'd be happy to help you out.

Cheers,

Chris.

Thanks Chris
but I think he would want a modern in proof type BP rifle.
I will have to take your word for it that he wants to trade an HW for a BP as I could not understand any of it:D:D.

Not sure what an HW is worth either come to that:eek:

Thanks Peter
