It will depend on the gun and start condition. IIRC JB will sort an S10 (for instance) in the region of £125 including regulator and set up. Add to this the £50 odd for the FAC if granted.

1. Get land suitable for shooting FAC weapons, and obtain written permission.
2. Get FAC forms and fill them in, including reference forms.
3. Await Firearms licensing Officer to visit your premises
4. Fit security cabinet(s) or you can do this 1st if you like.
5. Have certificate granted / refused.
6. Buy a nice FAC rifle... (or not)

Be wise to get the nod from the feo before you start investing in a cabinet and perforating an exterior wall with rawl bolts;)

Cable Locks
22. Flexible or semi-rigid devices for the secure fastening of single weapons which provide the
restraint equal to:
a) spun steel security cables, not less than 8 mm diameter excluding any sleeve;
b) fitted with integral anchorage plate suitable for fastening with non-return security

c) secured by a close fitting padlock not less than CEN 3 or in-built security locking
device.

which is excellent for me! as i doubt i would be getting another gun for a while, and wouldnt mind getting my current or any future gun to fac level.

it means i dont have to dish out of my pocket for a cabinet.

Cheers!!

Uprating an Edgar Bros springer to FAC - wheres the logic!? It would make more sense to buy a new rifle which is intended for FAC power levels.

First off I doubt they'll grant you a Firearms license; especially if all you want is FAC air for a twanger which probably wont push out more than 12 FPE if you tried, or would get damaged from a higher level of energy from the spring would probably damage the piston/chamber.

Chris; theres no point in uprating your current rifle to FAC levels, even if you do get granted an FAC. If/when you do apply for an FAC, you'd need to change your rifle IMO;).
