Thought I'd post a thread for us "pistoleros" so we don't keep hijacking peoples sales and wanted threads....:o
The wife paid for a shoulder stock for my HW45 for my birthday today and I fitted it for a practice in the garden this afternoon...what a cracking carbine it makes!!...:D

Looks fine and dandy:), I've a BSA 240 Magnum, which I'm sure had the option of a shoulder stock, maybe aftermarket, I knew I should have bought one at the time :(

It's great to use Dai but I found after a time the gap between where the stock meets the handgrip and the hammer outcurve is a bit tight and cramps the top of my thumb, some gentle modding may have to take place methinks.....cocking is so easy with this set-up.

Cookie has now seen it, very nice eric. do like that a lot.

Ok as for a second we are not on a umarex pistol, i have question for the UBC has anyone ever replaced the seals on a Beeman P3/HW40 is it as straight forward as i assume it will be!! have also been advised not to grease it but to just use Pellgun oil on the seals and piston and then reapply every 3 months, does this sound right to anyone. I'm very hands on and technically minded but never had a pistol apart before.

Hi All
Have I stumbled on the font of all knowledege concerning all things Umarex:p If so can anyone point me in the right direction regarding info for the Colt 1911 please, just bought one second hand and it was only firing four of the eight shots:( mags look in good condition as does the action, tried a new mag and again got miss fires  so gave the action a good spraying of a PTFE lubricant, now fires all pellets from all mags:D So I guess a full strip and good clean/lube is required but I have no data on this type of pistol:confused: Any tips or websites that have strip down info or exploded views would be very much apreciated:D
Cheers Keith

Hi Keith, try the link below it's the PDF manual it has an exploded view.

http://www.umarex.com/fileadmin/Dokumente/417.00.00/417.00.00_B_EN.pdf

Though i do believe in "if it ain't broke don't try and fix it"

Try the simple things first a cotton bud with some barrel cleaner to clean the mags the do the same with some Pellgun oil, used pellgun oil on top of the
Co2 capsules to make a good seal and stop the seal drying out. Also put spot of lube on the usual moving parts.

I personally lube my pellets which may help.

also have you tried different pellets, and are they fully seated in the mag.

Hope this helps in some way.

Jason

Hey Jamie,
Yes it is, he also fitted an adjustable rear sight. Its far more accurate with the lothar barrel, if I do everything hold wise correctly I can get a 1" grouping at 6M.
However it is pretty poor at winter temps. Drum also did some trigger work and its quite sweet to shoot. I'm going to review it but have been quite busy since getting it back. Drums work is excellent and I can't recommend him high enough.

I'm thinking we should arrange an Air Pistol fun weekend with target shooting and plinking, maybe a small competition, maybe camping, BBQ/beer and have a good old laugh. Somewhere central for all to travel to.

There are enough of us to do something.:)

This would amalgamate the UBC and RAPE (Real Air Pistol Enthusiasts). :D

Sounds very interesting :D

Here's my pistol collection, Hw45 (hogue grips) Anics Skiff & Gamo P23 (blue camo). I also have a G10 pistol (don't work) & a Colt Peacemaker (replica)

Seeing the shoulder stock on the Hw45, it's given me some inspiration ;) :D

Andy....you're actually asking us to "come out"!!!:eek:
I suppose we'll all have to wear our cammo anoraks......it would also have to be at a gun club...anywhere else and we'll end up with major coverage on the news as a terrorist training camp....;)
Would we have to shoot our own tree rats for the barbie??
One member would need pics of the site before he'd even considered attending and of course we know the eating utensils would have to have wooden handles...

hey pad e, u got some nice stuff there,

hhhhhmmmm, air shooter, waste of time, ordered 4 tins of pellets from them once, they only sent 3 and a tin was bent like, sent them lots of emails, they never got back to me the flickin spoooon lovers!!!!!!!!!!!

I have only used them once to purchase the Walther Winchester lever action and saved over £100 on the price quoted by The Airgun Centre. The underlever (Well Fargo edition) was out of stock when I first enquired, Brocock said that they were discontinued but had one left and could be supplied via The Airgun Centre for £355. Rang Airshooters to ask if he was restocking and they confirmed that they were awaiting delivery, about a week later I was there collecting one:) Cannot vouch for their after sales service yet though, but well pleased with the underlever and the £100 saving:) The wekend shootin/camping sounds cool though Lynn and myself would be up for it as long as a caravan is allowed as we don't do tents any more:eek:
Cheers Keith

A budget of a ton would be in place.....
Would second hand be ok ?????
Also, where best to buy, new/secondhand?????

Good morning, chaps.

Seeing the level of interest in air pistols and air pistol shooting, the mods have decided to create a dedicated section here (http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=33). :)

The new section will be open for business later this morning.

Oh, and if Treeman reads this, the answer is still 'No' to a springer section.
