Tommy Lavery

It is with the deepest regret that i make this post.
My good friend Tommy Lavery passed away last night.
Tom was a well known shooter on the Northern Ireland FT and HFT scene and also attended the FT European Championships most years.
He was a great character and will be greatly missed by all his friends at the Down Field Target Club, Comber Rifle Club and the Ulster Rifle Association.

It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Tommy on Wednesday night. He was a real character both on the range and off it. At Bushvalley Field Target Club we always looked forward to Tommy and the rest of the guys coming up to us for a shoot. We also enjoyed many trips with Tommy to Weston Park for the Midland Game Fair, and to Scotland on a few occasions. The sport of shooting in Northern Ireland has lost one it's real characters.

I'm proud to have been able to count Tommy Lavery as a friend for the past ten or so years. I will miss him.

My thoughts and condolences go out to his partner Patricia, his son, and daughters and his extended family at this very sad time.
