i got 2 loads but there for my sako .22/250 in 55g v max one is 34.5g of vit140 was pretty tight but the 35.5g of vit140 was alot tighter
p.s if unsure always start 10%below maximum and work your way up to the sweet spot

Chris.
Only tried it, because the 52 A-Max proved a faster and more accurate round.
The data I had was 36.6 VV150. Gave just over 3200 fps. Accuracy at 100 was less than 1/2" but at 300 was around 2.5" whereas the 52 A-Max at 1.5"
2.446 OAL. Twist in this was 1-12 so may be a tad slow for the 69.

Mr Ackley,
This guy has chosen to shoot a 22-250 AI with 69grn SMKs and is asking for any load data for his particular combination, who are you to question his choice????

I have a 22/250AI but I too wonder why you are using 69grn bullets Chris, are you trying some real long range stuff? I know the rifles are usually twist rated for 55grn but the velocity may still stabilise heavier, not sure about 69grners though

Baz it a 1-9 twist so 69grns are bang on, i put this together for longer range stuff;) Up here in Northants they will only let you have upto .224 CF for vermin so thats how it is:D Have you ever seen what happens to a fox when hit by a Sierra Match King @3350fps+ ...........it just takes them apart.:D

Whos not on open ticket Pete????? ALL my gear is open. And where do you get your ####e about match bullets, remember i DO KNOW you use bergers on charlie,so unless BERGER have started making GAME bullets just for you then wind your neck back in mate, remember you need to hit things 1st before you can kill them!!!
Are you bored at the mo??? If so go wind some other ####er up:D Dont start a pissing contest with me mate i am to long in the tooth for it.

No need to pick up dummy, takes more than your winding up to get me going.

Your maths is as good as your spelling Pete!!! 21 years with an open ticket and i am 38 this year , make that made me 17 unless you have a full custum calculater:D:D:D
Northants WILL NOT ISSUE bigger than .224 for use on vermin,i was told this 3 years ago when i transferd my ticket from Lancs where they ALLOWED me to use 300 Win Mag on vermin,so nowt to do with experiance at all, just depends what force you are under.
Anyway cheers for ruining my thread.
Chris.
The 69 will beat the wind a little better than the 52 A-Max according to QL. I was using known loads, but my 69 grain load was showing as about 5% off max whereas my current 52 A-Max load is about 4% over max (no signs of nasties in reality though) Another bullet that I had great results in my 1-9 223 was the 60 Grain V-Max, I,ve not tried them in the AI at all.The BC is not as high as the 69s but still good. I would have used them in the 223 if the trajectory was not as loopy. The 22-250 AI should allow you to get around 3500 fps. :D:D
