Finally, I've got my 22/250 brass that I ordered from Sportsman's Gun Centre. When did I order them? Before last Christmas.

Glad to get them but not good service, particularly as I'd got fed up of waiting. Last month I canceled the order by email. Shows how much notice they take they take of emails doesn't it?

They do seem to be very consistently inconsistent :(
I have put in 4 largish orders with them and there has been something wrong with every one of them.
One order they sent a box of SMK's with only 37 bullets in it, and swore blind it was full when I complained. To be fair they do sort things out in the end.
Dont/Wont use them any more.

I've had bad experiences with them. Never use them again!

Went over to the Sportsmans last week with a friend and had a coffee with Abu one of the directors and was given a guided tour of their new premises.

Amongst other things I took him to task over the problems of emails, stating that it was a complete shambles - why do you say 48 hours to respond when in fact probably 70% are never answered to? Why do you have a receptionist at the entrance sitting at an empty desk - she needs a computer in front of her to receive emails/orders and print them off and put them in front of the appropriate department within the shop - emails should be answered the day them come in

He told me they are still working on improvements - told him meanwhile he is losing business. In fairness to them, they do have tremendous orders with suppliers in the States and are at the mercy of the freight carriers

Aboo was the only one who ever replied to an email and then, only once. All the other emails that I sent were ignored.

I think if they have what you want in stock, they are great however not so great if you have to wait for them.

Along With Rup I put in quite a few orders that were short, delayed or just plain wrong. After which I complained and got some freebees as an apologue, things were fine for an order or two and then the problems crept back and I now use Midway.

It's a shame they have such problems because I feel they are some good blokes who work there and they do seem to want to help.

waited a long time for an anniversary kit. Cancelled the order and got locally. Their e mail sales are a joke as they do not mention what is in stock and what is not but still take the money

not good

Exactly my experience with them - don't ever wait if they don't have it in stock!

I order a Lee Classic Cast Single Stage Press from Sportsman last Sunday night online and it arrived just after nine this morning. Cost 80.99 inc P&P against 102.43 from Midway not inc P&P. So they're not all bad:)

Doesn't that apply to nearly all gun shops:D

it applies to all retail

Its particulrly bad in the guntrade at the moment as the major wholesalers are not prepared to hold large stocks, there are long lead times on any impotred goods particularly ammo & gus from outside Europe - this is down to import/export paperwork out of the US and carriers that dont want to carry goods - also a lot of wholesalers have been 'burned' by Litts and are struggling as a result and also reluctant to give credit out to other retailers !

Seeing as i have purchased all my shooting gear and ammo from them bar my newest air rifles, the service i recieved this week after the lost yes lost my FAC rapid which had been sent to them. It turned up a week later in ther stores, just as i was getting very worried, i picked it up and never even got an appologie from anyone, bunch of useless twats!!!!!!
I was told they would put my moderater onto my ticket which i have a slot for but when i got there they refused.
Even if they are the cheapest for miles they can go fu"$^&* themselves!
