Hi Guys & Gals

Results are in.

There 'might' be a late edition to the scoring in the afternoon as I had a PM with just reason of late submitting. Anyway they are as follows

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b312/PaddyE/Pistol%20Competition/JuneSSPResults.jpg

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b312/PaddyE/Pistol%20Competition/JunePCPResults-1.jpg

Thank you for taking part & welldone to everyone. :)

I have done a leader board & incorparated Snoopers idea of a + or - between previous scores to see how well you improved. They are as folllows

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b312/PaddyE/Pistol%20Competition/ProgressleaderboardSpring.jpg
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b312/PaddyE/Pistol%20Competition/ProgressleaderboardSSP.jpg
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b312/PaddyE/Pistol%20Competition/ProgressleaderboardCo2-1.jpg
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b312/PaddyE/Pistol%20Competition/ProgressleaderboardPCP-1.jpg

Once again welldone especially to Skeltz with his 60 point improvement!

Firestorm has come up with the badges for this months comp. However for some reason I never recieved it though my E:mail even though he sent it on numourous occasions?

Regards
Paddy. :)

Feels good to be part of this I'm quite enjoying taking part. I notice there are quite a few missing out of the springer section I wonder if they on Holiday?
Thanks for all the hard work and efforts to keep this competition going. Skeltz (No1 son) is a dark horse he beat me 5/5 cards last time at the club 4x6yd and 1x10metre. Cant beat a bit of family rivalry:D
Thanks

Just out of pure interest (as I am some way from the level where this is a huge problem...) but how do you tell the score when you're to the level of someone like Snooper601 and your pellets are making one big hole in the middle, ie how do you know if its a 10 if the 10 is gone?

by the way after exhaustive research by me (so you don't have to) I can positively reveal that large amounts of alcohol, followed by a late night and an early morning shooting session will lead to shakey hands, blurry targets and a pain in the head each time the gun goes off.....:D

If you shoot 5 pellets and the centre is gone and there's no other holes you know you've scored 50....;)
As for the second bit...serves you right!!!....:D....you Canaries just can't take your drink!...

Thanks Guys.

Once again welldone to you all.

I thought I was going to have the best achievement award until Skeltz put in that blinding 60 pointer  :D

At least I picked up the wooden spoon TWICE  :o

Anyway answer to Crabbet's question. No need to re-register for next months comp as I've set up the spread sheet right up to October, that's including any people that didn't take part in this months one.

July's Comp will Run from Sat 28th June - Sat 5th July to the same rules criteria. I'll change the Submitting time until 23:00 on Saturday 5th for those stragglers out there ;)

Paddy. :)

Great shooting well done. I'm striving to be that consitant but with my HW45 being a little un-predictable it wont happen any time soon.:D
I'm sure mine would benefit from a tune, but could not find anyone willing to do it.
John Keep it up

Thanks Keith :) , I'm was terrible with my Gamo esp one handed, the trigger is so heavy is soon as the trigger is being pulled the pistol was vearing to the right :o I'm that bad I need to aim at the bottom left target to hit the bottom right :D

Paddy,

I'll post the badges on here tonight.

Hi Paddy.

yes, weird but not surprising really, electronic black magic stuff...:)

Can you take me off the PCP list mate, would love to take part, but she won't let me have one...;):(

In the Co2 list put me down for a Gamo R77-4" in .177, using Bisley practise.

cheers

Thanks Skeltz, it's easier than you first think as my CO2, SSP and PCP entries are all target type pistols and very similar to shoot, just leaves the HW45 'Beast' to tame:rolleyes:

Well, I was thinking about entering the July competition with the Smith, along with the Beeman; but that big revolver is just too heavy for my weak little hands, I reckon.

I mean, I can hold it pretty steady using 2 hands, and shoot it pretty well, either single action or double, with both paws on it. But one handed? Surely thou jesteth! Two of my first 3 shots went in the wrong bulls. To make it worse(t), they went into two different bulls! :p

I like to shoot the Smith double action and 2 handed, and it seems to like being shot that way: so for the time being at least, I'll use it as a trainer in lieu of a cartridge .357, and stick with the P3 for the competitions.

Jim give it ago, even if your score is low you can only improve on it in future comps with a little practice, Last months comp I entered with my Webley Typhoon, this wieghs a lot more than the S&W and it's a springer with some serious kick, now that one handed is a real nightmare and only managed to score a 130, but hope for better this month.

Hey Jim, come on, I reckon you must be pretty darn cool if you can hit 2 bulls that you aint even aiming for:p

I went out today at lunch time and shot my score for this months comp with my CP99, did okay I suppose:)
Then I did it again, using the R-77 and the 357 you should see the mess I made one handed with the 357:( not one bull:( and I WAS aiming at em:D

Having said that my lowest score was with my R-77:eek:
Why? dunno, look at that boy in the thumbnail on the R-77 thread I should have done better with that than the CP99! Dont make sense to me:confused:

If I can't: I'll do it next month.
