The Ranchero does about 60-70 shots I think. Not counted though. Mine has the power adjuster on it so does 2, 4 and 6ftlb. It was bought in the US. Incidentally, I've been told that I can increase the power just by flipping the adjuster wheel over (if i take the action off to do this) should I want to turn this into a carbine rifle. :D By the way it's on sale in the US at Airguns of Arizona for $1,095!
By the way is this the Falcon you have?

Thanks for the info on the Ranchero Mr Sheene....:)
Here's my FN6.....silencer is now black and scope has been replaced with a Simmons red dot.
Eric.
PS...did you buy your Ranchero whilst in the states or import it if you don't mind me asking.

Like the Falcon, always thought they were nice. I bought my Ranchero in the states, dead easy to bring through customs. If you go out there, do what I did, I ordered it prior to leaving England and had it delivered to the hotel who kept it for me till I got there. If you're gonna get one from the states delivered to England, you may get stung by HM Customs.

Thanks for the kind comments. Pistols scopes are good but can make things look unsteady which is why I got a 2x mag only.
By the way, I can't believe how cheap all those airguns are in the states. For example, all those Umarex CO2 guns which I do like are sold for anywhere between £30-£80!!
I had a crooked barn custom, got the extended barrel, action etc and valve. Was the dogs doodahs. Had an EB22 that I chromed and gold plated. That was quite a looker. It's in another thread on this page under where my sunglasses.:)

These pistols shoot superbly and they're pretty well made. They have good all round adjustability so will fit most. The grip is ambi but they will be bringing out handed grips in due course The pistol is full power, with Accupels, fires at 6ftlb, nudging just over at the sweet spot. May need to use lighter pellets. Apparently wad cutters aren't the recommended type, not that you can't use them. The barrel is a long 'un and helps with accuracy. The trigger is excellent, crisp and light with no creep and loads of adjustability. I'd recommend one for definate. If they come out at £450, I may reconsider your options, but balance wise, with the reservoir in the grip does it for me. Not front heavy, however a weight is supplied for the barrel shroud that can be moved forwards or rearwards. The action also has an 11mm dovetail for sights. When are Air Arms releasing them?

The Alpha was from the states but it's a PCP not co2. This is a new pistol by Alpha Project that will marketed under Air Arms-Air Arms do not make them. 60 shots per 200 bar fill.

You'll have to speak to Air Arms. You can buy them from Alpha-Projetc direct. Speak to them, they have a contact email. They were very good with me when I enquired. It worked out to £450 with delivery. You shouldn't have to pay import as you pay it in the country of origin. Of course I went to the states and got it for a lot less. Really do cosider it though. Good luck!

Ps. I keep saying Alpha instead of Alfa. It definately is Alfa-Project. By the way, they don't seem to advertise the PCP on the site only the CO2
Don't know why it has taken air arms so long to release. It's been out for months out there:confused:

Nice wite up mate. A bit strange that nothing has been seen of it over here?
Theres not really many full power pistols around (Falcon been the main company i can think of?) so would have thought there would be a market for them?
....mmm my parents are going on holiday to USA laters this year....i wonder if they fancy picking me up a nice present :D

Mr Sheene....thanks very much for your help and advice...it's much appreciated.....:D
I'll have to have a look at my finances and make a decision whether to wait for the Alfa or go for the Lp1. The Lp1 is an older pistol but has a great rep...maybe both...I can see divorce threatening unless I get really devious...;)

Stuart...you have to decide what you need the pistol for...if you're going to shoot 6 and 10 yard pistol target then you only need about 3fpe muzzle velocity, anything above that is overkill in my humble opinion but if like me you also like to shoot knock-downs at 15yards and above you need a higher power pistol,
Now my Rohm sport is superb at 6 and 10 but I'm starting to stretch at 15yards whereas my Falcon FN6 is deadly at 15 and above.
Basically, I think you need to have a pistol like the Ranchero or FN6 for pistol HFT and Rohms or Steyrs for the 6 & 10 yard targets.
If finances are limited though, from what I've read about the Steyrs, they are reasonably easy to adjust for different target scenarios so they could be the jack-of-all-trades......maybe the Alfas are easily adjustable...Mr Sheene could help me here...;)
Just my humble thoughts...
Eric.

I agree with you Eric. My Ranchero wih scope id deadly with a scope on out to 15-20 yards. The Alfa is good for silhouette shooting, 10m but wouls struggle at knock down beyond the 10-15 yards. Did chrono it at 6 ftlb and it cn be adjusted both ways but I daren't. Apparently, there's alot more to adjusting these than winding them up or down. Now the Ranchero, well that's a different ball game...........;)

Yes they fit with no problem. In fact the Hw45 was designed to accept these. So you won't have any problems.
