I may be a bad shot BUT I still have fun!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went to the range today with my friend and finished off the last rounds and caps I had left, I think 4 or 5 cylinders worth, using my Uberti 1861 Navy. The box of lead balls is gone, so that means I have completed 100 shots! Doesn't mean I can hit anything though ;)

It wasn't a hit, I just "scared" it off...

Eventually, I got it.. splash!

Little milk bottle on top of a bigger bottle...

I'm going to be leaving town for 3 weeks and I can't take any guns with me, but today was a good farewell until I come back. I had lots of fun and so did my friend, although she had an even harder time hitting the darn bottles.

Fun is what it's all about. (unless you want to get serious, but still have fun) :D:D:D

That milk bottle won't pose a threat to public safety ever again! ;)

I know what you mean. The good thing is that I'm not really all that bad. You know how black powder guns are sighted for 75 yards, and for shooting at 12 yards, you need to aim waaaay low. That throws me off a lot, and my misses are really just flying over the target, or sometimes under, if I overcorrect. After a few shots I more or less know where to aim, but I'm no marksman still...

Like Jim said, at least that milk bottle got what it deserved!

How many grains of BP were you using?

Nice shot though - good idea putting water in the bottle for a special effect:)

Good effort. I can hit chuff all with one.

Try cocking with your left thumb. Doesn't let the muzzle wander over the top of the backstop so easily.

About 17.5 grains of 777 FFFg, which equates to about 20 grains regular BP.

Glad you liked the special effects :D
