Fenman safety catch

had a call from a friend tonight who has recently bought a nearly new Fenman and is having trouble moving the safety catch from safe to fire at times. I have no idea why, any ideas please?

jeff' the safety slide will be bent its common on theoben gasram rifles' its of poor design for a rifle costing over £350 you can bend them strait' but once bent i've found that the problem will persist with future use its better to just get a new safety slide and be gentle with it. also if you try to decock this rifle & push the safety off with the barrel down this also bends the safety slide so be warned.
