Fading Stock

Anyone kindly offer some advice please :)

I am starting to get a faded patch on an Air Arms Beech stock where my thumb rubs.

Is there any way I can treat this little fading section in isolation ? or is it a case of the dreaded first strip and re treatment of the whole stock :eek:

Any one solved a similar problem ? :)

Strip it & start again, much better than a part repair. Plus, think of all those hours of fun you'll have.;)

The beech stocks have a varnish finnish. You could try lightly T-cutting the blemish. If this fails then think about refinishing.
