View Full Version : BSA Scorpion multi-shot

Hi guys,

I'm a leftie so a T-10 is out of the question unfortunately...

Does anybody know where I can get hold of a Scorpion multishot with ambi beech stock? I've been on the BSA website and the model says 'export only', but surely there must be a few knocking around?

I don't fancy the route of buying a T-10 and then customizing a seperate Scorpion stock, I'm left-handed, not fingerless...surely it wouldn't have been too hard for BSA to come up with something for us lefties rather than ignoring us completely??

BSA have really got my goat with this, I also like the look of the Ultra multi-shot bull barrel but I can't get hold of one of those either. Does anybody know why they aren't available to the UK market? I think it's ridiculous! Anyway, enougn moaning from me :D

Thanks,

James

I've just fired an e-mail off to them as well, perhaps if we all do it they might think about making these models available to us?!

Wayne, thanks for the offer but it's turned into a matter of principle and if I buy a T-10 I want BSA to provide a new beech rifle (the export model) in exchange for it or let me send the T-10 Tactical to them and have them fit a beech stock free of charge!

This whole export only thing is ridiculous and they are literally shooting themselves in the foot with it. I can't understand for the life of me why they have decided to offer the models to the US market only...are BSA not a British company at heart?

i also enquired about a wood stock. I was given an emphatic yes - which then became an emphatic no - followed by not returning calls or emails:(

This was BSA's reply:

Morning James
There are a number of models that we only make for export. This is primarily because all export orders are built to conform with the laws pertaining to the destination country, which in effect means that all export guns are custom built. Because of this we have some flexibility; if we were to offer all the different models to the home market as well we would nearly double the number of lines that we carry and the capital tied up in stock in the warehouse. So we confine our domestic market to the models which market analysis and experience tell us will be the best sellers. I'm sorry if that disappoints you, but as you can see the decision is based on sound business reasons.
Kind regards

Sounds like a load of rubbish to me, if you're going to sell the T-10 and not the beech stock you HAVE to make it ambi surely??

Thanks mate, I replied to Peter Martineau asking him where the 'sound business logic' is in cutting the lefties out of a newly released product, and he asked me to give him a call on a number he supplied. Unfortunately I was at work at the time so I couldn't take him up on it, but I'm interested to know BSA's thinking on this!

Ambi stocks really aren't too much effort are they? I wouldn't even mind waiting if the rifles were made to order, that way there would be no stock problem which Peter cited. I would even pay a premium for it (which we already do as left-handers, but don't get me started on that!!), but it seems that BSA's attitude (or at least this guy's) is 'tough titties', you should have been born right-handed.

Shame, because I really like BSA rifles.

Makes me wonder why they don't even offer them on a 'special order' option..I'd kill for a Bull Barrel Ultra.....

Me too mate, I said to Peter that my next preference after a T-10 leftie was a BSA Ultra bull-barrel, but it's not available either.

They're a British company for gawd's sake, why are we not offered the chance to buy these models? I'd love to know what 'market analysis' they are working with, because it's completely different to what I've found! Perhaps it might be worth e-mailing Peter Martineau at sales@bsaguns.com, more voices behind it the better and all that. :D

I know I sound like a moany git, but it just peevs me off!! :)

They lost a sale from me too, i'd tried various guns at Scone and thought the T10 was the best for me, but that plastic stock YUK!

C'mon BSA, I'm standing here with a fistful of readies - whats wrong with ya:p

i know im a bit out of date on this thread! but i wasnt happy either when i read this thread that BSA only export the scorpian T10 multishot wood stock when searching for one, but apparently The Air Gun Centre can provide one which is ambidextrous, can this be right? link below

There is another retailer further north up the east side of the country who advertises beech stacked multi-shots in one of the magazines (but they don't seem get very good reviews on here!) so there may be a way of getting hold of them.

I'm 99.99% certain that BSA now produce the T10 with the option of a beech stock. I was offered the option when i bought my T10 Tactical from my local RFD last year.
