hi just finished my aa410 .22 classic to .177 k conversion,

I changed the cylinder, barrel and bolt, did no other adjusting.
on testing it felt a bit too powerful. on chronoing it was doing 12.7lbs. before on .22 it was 11.5 top end, I thought it would drop in power to below 10lbs on the conversion as .177 needs more air to work.

have adjusted it down to 11.5 , any body got any ideas why the power should have risen rather than fallen??

Interesting... you should have got a double whammy there, .22 to .177. classic barrel to carbine. I can only assume its down to pellet fit. Every S400 I have tested has disobeyed the "heavier pellets are more efficient in PCPs" rule, which I put down to fit.

Gus PS... did you input your chrono data correctly?

That is interesting indeed!

Goes completely against the grain of thought.

lol. I did in put the grains as 8.4 for jsb exacts , so assume the chrono was right
Gus I wanted a lighter gun for hunting, this is the 410 not the 400 that I am keeping strictly for FT
I was using heavier pllets loguns in the .22 but did change the chrono for the .177s
