ok so i lend my .25 lightning to a friend to shoot some rabbits over winter. only to find outr his mises didn't let him keep it in the house so its been in the shed all winter.! as you can imagine not happy. so got the rifle back asap and decided to strip it down and fit the gas ram i've had in the garage for as long as i've owned the gun. while the gun in bits i polished the piston and cylinder and filed down all the sharp edges. put the lot together again- inc trigger cock it load it pull the trigger. nothing. recock it and removed the pellet. and tried to uncock it. nothing. removed the stock. inspect the trigger.. all working as normal but not releasing the piston.i have to get a screw driver under the sear to manually release the piston. dismantled the trigger. not the springs just the trigger and sear. checked the pins, cock the gun checked everything put it all together. same thing, now getting really anoyed. removed the gas ram and checked everything. checked on this forum and the bsa forum no joy. so i've just polished and sanded the piston catch and the release sear greased it all up and presto working fine. so what the hell happened. ? has anyone else has isssues this bsa triggers.?
