Purchased last weekend.

Basically a license built Beretta 303.

I was seriously impressed with this gun.

Was it cosmetics? No not really, it's a nice looking gun, clearly no Purdey but the wood is pretty nice, once the camo tape was removed the barrel blue isn't bad and the action is nice simple black.

Is it how it shoots? No not really, it shoots very well, was bought for my other half as my 682 is too heavy, I was pleased to pick this up and shoot spot on with it, so it seems to shoot in the same place which is nice!

No what really impressed me was that under the rotten camo tape, down the filthy uncleaned barrel, in the cankered up action. Once it had been cleaned out the barrel doesn't have a single pit, the exterior has no rust, the inards are like new with no wear (this gun has had a lot of use too, reputedly circa 100K cartridges). However first outing it wasn't wanting to eject cartridges cleanly.................

Cleaning out the gas ports was astounding. One totally blocked, one 90% blocked! Yet still the gun wanted to work.

It's now a spot on gun and I love it!

I know exactly what you mean - I have something very similar and I love it. My 302 is one of the best things I have ever bought. Well its up there with the Guerini anyway, in a completely different way.

It was £250 from last years MGF, in fairly well used condition. A few dinks on the stock, the action/barrel were 90% or so. The innards were filthy (and not in a good way (http://www.toplessrobot.com/jessica-alba-5.jpg)) but it still worked fine. Gave everything a thorough clean and it will cycle with anything I put through it, swings brilliantly and is very light. My (novice) mate borrows it for clay shooting and gets on really well without, hes atching up to me anyway (the git)

Another thumbs up for the Beretta 3XX family and their offspring:cool:
