Actually I think nowadays Charles dreams he is in a sweet Eutopia where guns aren't electronic and chronographs don't interfere with you dialing your rifle up to 28ftlbs for those long shots.... where electronic insect repellants work on people as well as insects and then....
He wakes up to find out it wasn't a dream after all :D:);)

Maybe Charlie's 'Electronic insect repellant' is affecting his Grand Prix??
Still it won't take long to fix it........Well not that long, he handed it over at Kelmarsh....hasn't actually heard anything yet!...early days!
My guess is he won't be using it again....:D:D
I fancy a bash at the Hobbits actually!!:D

Hold The Front Page!
The Grand Prix found it's way back to Sussex today. Not being one to ignore an old friend, it win be in action at the next SIHFT, subject to testing. ;)

Hey, we could have a race to see who's rifle goes 'belly up' first. My S400 has been 'repaired' and I'll pick it up Thursday on my day off.
All Right place your bets, folks.:D
I, at least, am fairly confident, that mine won't dump it's air, at the drop of a hat.:p Whether it will consistently propel pellets in the desired direction, is anyones guess. :D

Perhaps we should get the rifles to mate. The resultant offspring should have the 400's accuracy (14 AA Field 4.51's in a group smaller than 5p at 25 yards) and your Grand Prix's ability to hold it's breath.:D
Where will it get it's good looks from?
25 yards? Ha! The Grand Prix is so accurate, that at that distance a 20 shot string actually closes the hole so tight, that it eventually disappears.:rolleyes::D

Hmm, I call shenanigans on that claim. Disappearing hole indeed:rolleyes::D.

I can't think of a single female rifle (of breeding quality), any suggestions?
Thinking about it (and I've only just had to take painkillers, so they haven't kicked in yet but it does make this thought extra strange), but we could start a breeding programme for rifles of excellent stock (pardon the pun).
We should get rifles of known pedigree (quality manufacturer, notable accuracy, reliability/ability to hold it's breath:rolleyes:) listed for breeding. If possible we might be able to eliminate the poor quality breeds of rifles (anyone breeding B2's should be shot). A Brummie made Webley would be suitable for breeding with an Air Arms to improve bluing.
No wait, I just thought. We are going about this all wrong. We should try gene splicing or genetically modifying the rifles. Breeding different makes of rifles just results in mixed breeds (possibly with horrifying consequences:eek:).
Thus endeth the strangest post I will ever make. More strange than anything Spence has posted, I'll wager.:D
