what would be a reasonable swap for a tx200hc? .177 with vmach internals and uk neil silencer. thinking of swapping her for a pcp. something like an s200. really cant get on with the weight even though it is great and shoots lovely. im not the biggest or tallest of guys;) ive also got an s400k and a qb78dlx and they are no problem for me so was thinking of another pcp.

if you guys could let me know what to expect for a swap wise, that would be great.

also what is the trigger like on the s200. love my s400k trigger nut i have heard that they are only single stage with a spring for the 1st stage

i have also put a wanted add if anyone wants a look

I think you should swap it for a BSA Hornet. Or keep it, sounds like the perfik springer.

Hollow-Point, don't sell it ... you'll only regret it.

Swapping for an S200 when you already own an S400 doesn't sound a good idea. If the TX is too heavy for you then perhaps consider either a)selling it outright or b) look to swap it or sell and buy something 'high quality but lighter' like a HW95 or Webley (Brum made) Longbow.

Well, that is why you are not getting on with her. Once a week, or twice a week if you've time, try shooting 200 or 300 pellets through it. After a month you will have gotten used to the weight (muscles soon respond to stress, thats how they are designed!) and you will start to enjoy the unique thrill of getting good scores with a springer.

Really, they are not THAT heavy, I am a wimpster and I have been able to shoot my HW77, TX200SR and Prosport for hours on end without getting tired. Remember, most British soldiers of all shapes and sizes had to deal with heavier rifles (in the form of the SMLE and SLR).

Its a very fine rifle, you already have good PCPs so I suggest you stick them in the cabinet for 3 months and GET WITH THE SPRINGER!

Yes the 95 is lighter but it is also more difficult to shoot accurately, and the TX200HC is near-perfect in design. You will regret selling it I tell you!

However, if you are not going to hunt with your springer, yet want one, I suggest the Weihrauch HW30S, which is a beautiful little springer with almost no recoil, excellent accuracy, light weight and the superb Rekord trigger. Its a special order item in the UK for some reason, but worth it.

Excellent post. Couldn't agree more...

I have an Air Arms S200 Mk II, it is standard apart from black anodised bolt handle, quick release swivels, absolutely mint condition. Bought for my son but he never showed any interest hence why its mint as its hardly been used.

I am after a TX200HC must be in mint condition, let me know if you are interested and the condition of your rifle. I am based in Sheffield so not too far away.
