I have recently had a Barnard actioned 6MMBR with 24inch 1in12 Walther sporting weight barrel with a McMillan stock and a jewell trigger put together by Chris at UK Gunworks.I put a T4AR on the front and this keeps the balance very nice without being too front heavy total weight inc scopoe etc is circa 9lbs so very easy to carry. I must admit that to start with I was not too pleased with the accuracy , but this was down to my ignorance about the best reloading procedures. After Chris,s advice on a number of points the rifle will now shoot in the .1s of an inch with one hole groups being the norm,if there is an odd stray shot it is down to me.So far being so cold I have not shot much with it but managed 2 foxes at 120 yards and a nice 510 yard rabbit on the second shot , the first was slightly high. I have taken Chris,s advice and now use Vit133 and 68 grain berger match bullet heads with lapua brass. It is great because these bullet heads are not classed as expanding so can be delivered to your door instead of an RFD. It says on the box recommended for targets but great on varmints or something similar and it does work well on them
I have to say Chris is a sound bloke and very knowledgable and helpful I would recommend his work to anyone.

My load for my 6mm BR on a BAT action with a 1-12 twist is 75gr V-max, 33grs of Varget, Federal 205GM primer, Lapua cases.

Deer round 85gr Sierra gameking and 30.5 grs of varget the rest the same, didn't think it would shoot but it does when lighter bullets wouldn't.

Both shoot nice one hole groups, problem being anything even . 3 you think is terrible when most would be thinking great, it's a terrible afflictionwith 6BR.

My friend has a 6PPC from callum ferguson just as accurate but has to muck about beck turning etc, when he gets a new barrel it will be 6BR.

Chris has just rebarreled a rifle for me, I am out with it tomorrow to do some load developing.

As Steve Barnes says, "talk it through with him" he will only give you good advice!

always good advice from CHris, rather than 6x47 try Chris's own creation 6.5 nemisis its supposed to be an absolute cracker.
