Is that shooting ground across the A40 road from the airport still there?

When I was a kid during and just after WW2, we used to leave our back garden and roam the fields all the way to that ground and the woods nearby. Good for bird nesting, and collecting old bullets from the sand. Got chased off many times by some old bloke tho'. Killed a grass snake with a thrown sheath knife in those woods. I was more suprised to hit it than it was.

West London Shooting Ground is very Active - For Clay Shooting

There is another Shotgun Range further down the Road - Track

Visited in recent years Shooting Clays

Not aware of a Air Gun Range though

Surrounding area has been well built on in recent years

Shotgun only survives, following Expensive very high banking and Tree's.
