I have been using an s16 for the past few months and have been more than happy with it and thought that it was the perfect rifle for me,but i have been proved wrong!!
Yesterday i picked up an S16s from KES and went to my local quarry to have a plink, just to try it out before i consider setting it up properly, and was i shocked.
The cocking lever action seems to be more refined, the pellet goes into the breech effortlessly, the release seems smoother due to what i can only put down to a better trigger unit.I had to check the barrel at first because i thought a pellet had got stuck, due to causes unknown, but it had departed but the silencer is so good there was hardly any noise at all.
I look forward to getting to know my latest acquisition in the next few weeks but if the S16s is better than the S16 then i am sure that it will be a long and happy partnership (anyone want my wife,as she is now going to be very lonely whilst the bunnies and i get to know my bangstick)
This rifle not only looks the part but also shoots like a dream.
All hail Logun.

Told ya Phil! Glad it was worth the drive. :)

Yeah huge stigma attached to the S16s as a result of the unreliable Mk 1 model but once I got my second model from AGS all squared away I was quite shocked at how quiet and accurate it is (albeit in .22). Only my S200 is more accurate (.177) (IMO). So long as you're vigilant in cocking the rifle correctly you wont go wrong.

My first choice rabbit-remover every time. :)

Tragedy has struck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My S16s has developed an air leak and i am totally shocked that it has happened to the s model.Has anyone else come across this issue with the S16s.Perhaps i am not so over the moon with it now.I have sent it back to logun(ags) and hope it will be back home with me soon.Really weird to go back to the mk1 for the time being.

Rabbit sniper.
Did you eventually get it fixed and if so how much did it cost you?
What was the turnaround time from when you sent it to when you got it back?
Ironically i have a mk1 s16 as well and that is as good as gold and not a leak anywhere and that was meant to be the bad model.
