Hi all this is my first post and ,well, my first review.
I am Canadian and I love airguns

I chose to review the Drozd airgun. Although I have many "serious" airguns, I feel this gun needs not to be overlooked.

Accuracy: Ok its a BB gun so its not that accurate. But you would be surprised at 30 ft- 50 ft you can make up for accuracy with a 6 or full auto burst. With in 20 feet you can pretty much hit anything you aim at bar none. Keep in mind i have a longer barrel on mine too.. not the stock 7" er\

Handling: Drozd really shines here, for being a compact airgun you can move with it in dense brush with ease. Great for practising tactical moves and such.

Power: with a few mods this airgun can out penetrate my 2260 that spits 14.3 gr pellets out @ 800 fps on certain targets. Velocity of a steel bb in the summer is about 700 fps with all mods done.

Unique: The unique factor is a must for me. This gun is definitly unique in that it is totaly different from any other pellet gun. It can do ( with mods) 1 ,3 and full auto bursts.

Welp thats it, next ill review the crosman 2260

Welcome to the board Zore :).

The only shame about your review is that it's bears little relevance to the UK version of the Drozd. Sadly we're not allowed the full-auto version :(, and as for the 700fps muzzle velocity , I think that would put it way above the legal limit in the UK!

If that's your website though, I like what you've done with the extended barrel, it looks like something the A-Team should have built whilst being locked in a curiously well-stocked garage by the baddies.

One quick tip, you might want to fill your profile in before the BBS rottweilers start hunting you down :D.

Scott.

it was my understanding that the "Drozd" was available in the UK.

I do have a question tho.. Where can I find some good info on field target? Now i dont know too much about the sport, but i do know it involves shooting at silhouette's of small animals from a large distance. Here in Canada Im having trouble finding info on this..

How do I edit my profile? (dont want to get biten)

Yes it is my website, and thanks..
Your club looks awsome.. have to visit it sometime..

Hi Zore
The Drozd is available in the UK but only in single shot mode and as it would be classed as a pistol would be restricted to a 6ft/lb power limit. I do have one and was thinking about putting a longer barrel on it, how easy is this?
I suppose the one good thing is ours arn't yellow :)
Fun little gun though and your web site is nice.

I do have a question tho.. Where can I find some good info on field target?Silly question, here of course :D. This BBS is an absolute goldmine of information. HFT (Hunter Field Target) is the shooting discipline that I partake in, it basically simulates hunting but with knock-down targets instead on anything with a pulse (I'm not a hunter), the rules for HFT shoots vary from club to club, but usually involve a maximum distance of 45 yards, shooting at targets with 40mm (I think) kill-zones, using sub 12ft/lbs air rifles.

How do I edit my profile? (dont want to get biten)Just click on 'User CP' at the top of the page and edit your profile and options there.

Thanks for the info. I will look into the field target i want to build my own because we cant get the actuall field targets here :( .

stumpy lubnut: the longer barrel on the drozd is definitly easy to do. All you need is a vice and a die to thread the barrel. The barrel we use is from a crosman 1760. If you cant get that then use any barrel from a cheap pellet gun. If you want more info let me know..

Nice collection btw!

Great website!

I've been interested in these guns since they first came out, really wanted to get one aswell, until i realised the UK version has the burst/full auto modes stripped off it :( no doubt it can be changed with some electronics tinkering, but would also make it illegal.

Looks like a really fun gun though, although im sure it eats through co2 like theres no tomorrow!

Great fun to tear up cans and such..

Also, I am still looking into building my own field target that can reset too. Anyone who has plans for a working field target like this please let me know..
