This will be a full 30 target HFT course set out to UKAHFT guidelines (might be a mix between 2005/2006 guidelines because some of our reducers got stolen last month)

Shooting starts after a safety briefing at 10am

I may be tempted to take part ;)

Won't be laying down in the mud though

Kneeling and standing is as good as it gets in the Winter.

There's never any mud at Anston because it's always sunny there - you should know that Dave

and you can keep it down ;) It may always be sunny in the south but its usually grim up north - just the way we like it :D

Dave.

PS - still not laying down - it works for Andy ;)

PPS - I reserve the right to change my mind and lay all over the floor if I wish (and probably will when I have missed the first 2 targets from a kneeling position).

Jon

Jon - I haven't even got one for mine :(

I will show you the tape job on Sunday - it works but I could do with another 'o' ring.

We need to nobble Pete Dutton if he is there - I think he may have some.

He may have girly hands - but he's right about Walthers ;)

See you all on Sunday - and Mart, it'd be nice to try out that PW (swapsie) stock on my own Dommie...

Paul.
p.s. I'll bring my box of O rings - there may be something in there to fit the Steyrs...

Jon

I will be there on sunday with some 'O' rings but if it's the breach seal you need then you need a special green one, give harry preston a ring.

There is a temporary fix we can try, see you Sunday.

Scooby

Not the breach seal mate.I just need an "o"ring at the end of the cylinder to stop a slight rattle(I'll be the one doing the "office" on Sunday,so make yourself known:) )

I think I've got some Blu-tac in the bottom of my toolkit Pete ;) Should be good enough for a Steyr...

It'll be great to see you there Pete - it feels like ages since we've seen you at an HFT open event mate.

What gun will you be shooting?

I think Pete has a new toy ;)

I am going to let Chris shoot the Steyr. Decided to go back to old technology ;)

Have you managed to find some new elastic for that catapult then?

Have you managed to find some new elastic for that catapult then?

Yes - elastic from my very own pants ;)

We may need to chrono it though - keep getting a sonic boom within a split second of releasing the shot  ;)

Not sure if sound comes from in front or behind though   :D

You must have very long arms dave, to draw a catapult made YOUR pant elastic ! Does it use a series of complex pulleys ? :p :D

Paul, i'll pop the stock and bolt in the car for you, meant to bring it to the gathering for you to have a butchers at.

I too will be playing with a new toy, thats now legal thanks to Pete ! You can have a shot Paul, its doesnt say Daystate anywhere on it :P

Mart, How come it doesn't say Daystate on it ??? and it wasn't over powered it was just too close for comfort;)

Bri, I will be shooting either my new Mk3 or my Whiscombe, then again I may have a round with each:D

See you all in the morning and it better be sunny at N'ston tomorrow Bri or else it's blowpipes at dawn.

Brilliant day, excellent and fun course! My daughter and I had a great time :)

Many thanks to the sadists who set the course out to best take advantage of the low winter sunlight :p

And Bri was right - the sun ALWAYS shines at N'ston!

Cheers lads

Personally I thought this was one of the most enjoyable shoots we've had (and we've had some good ones!).

We had lots of help setting out ( it's not easy setting a course out in the dark using a head torch, but we managed it ;) ) and even more help packing away - thanks to all those who gave up their time to help and thanks to all those that came out to shoot as well.

I'll post the scores up in a little while.

I really enjoyed the day, so did Ted (Thanks to Pete D for coaching Ted,I've been trying to get him to Kneel for ages). The words of Knowledge on the AAs400 will be really helpfull. All the Explorers enjoyed it, I think Will may get a gun for Christmas. I am at last starting to catch up with my Hero Paul Hudson, but I fear I shall never quite manage it in the charm department ;) .
