I first saw a Bushnell legend 5-15x40 at my nearest HFT club where a fellow club member had just purchased one off someone on here. His previous scope was a Bushnell 3200 10x40 and he claimed the optics on this new 'wonder' scope were just as good if not better!
This was a bold claim(even from a welshman) so I asked to see if his claims were true. He passed me his lovely GML mounted with his new 'wonder' scope and I snuggly fitted my cheek to the raised comb and peered through the scope the moment of truth was upon me..
Well for the first time ever this welshman wasn't taking the p*** this was truly a wonder scope. The optics on this scope were fantastic to say the least, they were crisp, clear and razor sharp. I had to get one!
That I did, I purchased one brand new off someone on here for a knock down price compared to Daystates prices. I fitted it on my HFT and hunting rifle my HW100S .177 and began to zero in at 30y.
This scope breaths quality, even when unscrewing the turret caps to expose the turrets they only needed two full super smooth turns to expose the finger friendly adjustable turrets. Even the turrets are fantasticly smooth and each click felt exremely positive and they were even quiet!
Once zeroid I began to fully appreciate the quality of this scope whilst looking into the darkest corners of my garden where my previous scope would of not seen a thing, not saying it was a bad scope infact it was a brilliant scope for the money but this Legend is as the name suggests a 'legend' in the making. I could see every twig, every leaf no matter how small or dark with perfect clarity even on full mag.
Now after a month of use the zero has only moved 4 clicks and that was my fault for zeroing at an angle, even when my gun fell of it's cleaning rest and the scopes 1inch tube took the force of the impact full on (it only fell about 4 inches ). This had me expecting to zero my combo in again but I got out into my garden and on to my rest and fired 3 shots at my target, didn't move a whisker.
Overall this scope is in a word brilliant! A peice of quality in in it's own right infact. The only critisism I could find about this scope is that the mil-dots are further apart than my old hawks scope and the crosshair on lower mags is too thick to really get a pin point aim point on a small target. But apart from that it really is a fantastic scope!

And the moral of the story is kids... don't trust a welshman's claim until you fully investigate it especially when the welsman at my club once told me that he was part of an elite special forces outfit........ then he told me he was part of the RAF. I'm gonna get sleighted for this! Sorry lads!
