i bought this gun off the bbs it is a very light gun i use it mostly for ratting what i like about it is it is so easy to cock just slip the cocking device forward put your pellet in close release safety which is in front of trigger and your set the power is spot on i put a ags 3-9+40 on it and it is ideal you can sit for ages with this combo in your arms and you dont feel any weight or tiredness if you carry it for long times ive also fitted a nice chunky silencer which realy keeps the gun quite for indoor work and a nice lazer for the rats out of all the guns i own this is the one i always go for when im working in barns weather its rats or flying rats its never let me down a nice light combo jeff morpeth

How do you find the accuracy of this gun, jeff? Also, what's the trigger like?

and, which 'chunky' silencer did you find worked well with your stealth? :)

i have a stealth with a parker hale phantom silercer fitted
obtained an adaptor from those fuknky guys @ blackpool
air rifles.
the silncer is quieter than the standard stealth one and
has the added bonus of being carbon fibre so is very light
and you can fit a logun gunlamp to the end making light glare
back when lamping a thing of the past!
i would recommend this over the standard silencer any day!

Hi, I bought a stealth about 12 months ago, i love it!!

Bad points:
*I did have a problem with the top hat on the cylinder coming loose after about 2 months but that was fixed with a bit of locktight on the threads and its been fine ever since.
*Also, when i first used the stealth it was amazingly quiet but after about 2 or 3 months it started to get louder, and now it has quite a snap! I spose this is because some of the seals arnt quite what they used to be but 9 times out of ten the unfortunate critter thats in the crosshair doesnt get to hear it anyway.

Good points:
*Well its very light and u can wonder about the fields all day without it pulling your arms out their sockets.
*Its fantastically predictable over quite long ranges and in good conditions i can confidently drop things at 40-45 yards.
*Massive shot capacity

Ive got 3 pre charged airguns now but the stealth is definately my no.1

Lefty,
check you Stealth out over a Chrono, the louder they are the more air they're using per shot. If yours is getting louder it may well be shooting over 12 ftlb you may find the top hat has difted a little. Readjustement and loctite should sort it for you.

Good idea cnoris, ive been getting a bit paranoid about power recently, dont want to get my rifles confiscated, but now ive glued the bloody top hat on it might be a sod to alter.

I bought one end of last year and what a performer I take bunnys at 30mts + hits where I point great piece of kit what I would say, 1 vital piece of kit you need is a chrono....keep a eye on the FLB as the first thing the police check is the feet pounds and if it only a ft/lb over your a criminal and we don't need that

hi mate, i got a stealth year ago no mater what i do,cant get any more power

depending what ft/lb is its factory set to approx 12 ft/lb when it leaves the factory if you chrono check it. if it is under try using a different brand of pellet then check it again:) if its still under you can alter the top hat that is the bit at the front of the air bottle in to decrease out to increase but there are other things you need to upgrade or replace

please be aware if you up rate a air weapon to fac and are caught without a license you will be going to prison for a long time ;)

I have one of the early ones, it was not very good out of the box, sometimes you could see the pellets on the way to the target. Six inch grouping at 25 yards led me to return it.

When I got it back the change was quite spectacular, quarter inch groups at 25 yards and I am not a good shot.

What did they do to it?

What did they do to it?
The problem seemed to be entirely down to the cylinder valve/top hat, which appears to have been replaced.

the problem is in most cases the top hat works loose making them unpredictable the power fluctuating wildly which is one reason getting a tight group would be nigh on impossible.
by using a little loctight cures the problem :)

Ive had my stealth a year now and the gun is awesome! Its like a nokia phone!Every part of it is interchangable. Some parts of it are a bit weak but as time goes on and you will find www.talonownersgroup.com and the need to modify will creep up on you.To modify the gun is so so so easy if you have any basic machining skills or if you just dream up the parts you want and take them to the machinist to make for you

Bad points
The trigger is preggt naff.its dead easy to tweek
The standard silencer is basically a hollow tube.Id suggest getting an adapter made up to fit a logun one
The tophat creeps open so it will need to be stabalised with superglue once your sweet spot had been found.
The threaded ring in the back of the gun that the tank screws in to,the hole in the bottom of it over time will stretch so id advise getting it sorted.

Good points
Out of the box this a very very accurate gun.
It is a hard hitting gun it will take out rabbits from the box.
The gun is modifyable beyond 100Foot pounds Muzzle energy!
options of .17 .20 .22 .25 and 12" to 24" lengths
On the forums people even have been able to do a .303 conversion
The gun is real light

i shot with a guy with one of these yesterday. i think his name on here was kick yer butt or similar. he had modded his. it had a bsa superten barrel on it and parker hale silencer and it was very good. extremely accurate. the only problem i could see was the scope was about 3.5" abouve the barrel

hi all im considering this gun greatly but there are many people who have advised me to reconsider what do you think

ive got a modded stealth and i love it, super quiet when a hw100 silencer is fitted. the weight, at first i thought it weighed a ton, probably because im used the the feather light king ratcatcher, but after a couple of days use, the stealth feels really light. it looks great, has 3 mounting rails for scope, laser, bipod/sling, can get over 300 shots at 12ft/lbs per fill, fairly accurate, very customisable, what more could you want?

I was advised to take mine along to a gunsmith as it started to fluctuate all over the place I think it was the tophat among other things, if you do the job yourself you will need a chronograph. I decided to get rid off it after the incident with the Armed response team

Hi,
The top hat is a huge problem on the Stealth, the first one I got brand new the top hat came loose and blew out all it's air. I got a new bottle and the same thing happened. Then I changed the whole gun for a new one (action too) guess what... top hat came loose with less than 20 shots and blew out all it's air.
Those 2 grub screws holding it on will never hold it in place, stupid idea putting it on like that:(
I'm going to glue it on so it never comes loose again.
Apart from the dodgy top hat I love the Stealth, it's accurate, light, looks half decent and you can put tons of gadgets on it from the box.
Now I just need to get myself a good Chrono... any suggestions?:)

Regards,
Chris

The Stealth is a good gun when you sort out all the little problems, Here is the way i sort my Top hat.
Chrono the rifle and set the Top hat with the grub screws, once this is done take the Top hat and stem out, place the top hat on a flat surface with the stem facing upwards and put a dab of super glue around the top hat where it meets the stem, if you need to adjust the tophat in the future simple apply a bit of heat.
Please remember with the hot weather coming up your fps can go up ;)
A good chrono for the price is the cb 625 new £39.99

I have a .22 Gunpower Stealth. After a few teething problems I added a HW100 Silencer and was well pleased. I like how easy it is to add on. I particularly like using the bipod. Accurate.

Shame they don't come in multishot and they don't have a pressure guage.
