Some of you may already be aware of the thread that Dave (Kingplinker...me) and i have been running about trying to get the BBS members to donate unwanted bits of kit, the donated items are then used or sold and the money put towards buying a combo(AAs200 & scope). The first combo was donated to Springfield ARC at the HFT shoot at Shepreth(many thanks to all who donated):) :) , and the following 3 combo's went to young shooters who(along with their dads) are now starting to attend the UKAHFT shoots...so result
As a result of tons of feedback from the lads on here, we decided to set up a Paypal account with the email addy combo@airgunbbsmail.co.uk
The idea being that there are approx 9000 members on here, if each popped 1 pound into the paypal account.....well work it out, and i'm sure most people wouldn't miss a quid. The funds from the account will be used to purchase kit from JSR, so its a win for a Young newbie, this sites host and a nice warm feeling for all the BBS members.:D ...and again, we will try to hand over a combo at the next UKAHFT shoot.
Any people out there that don't have access to paypal, but would like to help then please drop me a PM
The account will be monitored by myself & Dave, I'm sure you all know by now that this is genuine.:)

Just a quick thanks too for the recent airgun bits donated by members of the bbs . It really is very much appreciated . :)
When the items come up for sale the post will be clearly marked as gear that has been donated . As Chris says , some of the bits will be used but others will be sold to raise cash for the combo's . Once again , thank you !

We're not going to mention names or post a list of people who donated because if people want anonymity , then no probs
I have noticed that one or two chaps have put in a little bit more than the suggested 1 pound..........you know who you are:) :) :) :) :)
We really should make more of an effort to get the BBS members together for a shoot/social meet....there's so many guys on here that i'd like shake by the hand........ooooh, stop, no i'm not crying, i've got something in my eye

Just be sure to put "free combo" or similar in the "subject" box - NOT any references to Airguns, or they'll likely freeze the account due to draconian policies

Don't know if it's a coincidence, but after sending my donation I received my first spoof PayPal e-mail for a long while.
Just be careful Guys, never follow links in e-mails that pretend to come from PayPal or the auction site that must not be mentioned.
Be safe...........

I have just made a donation of £10 on behalf of zooankski.
Marc was not only an excellent bloke to deal with during the sale of my AA S200, but, when I realised that I actually needed the hose and bottle connector that I had let him have with the gun in order to fill my new cylinder, he let me have it back no problem.
So, top man, and I am glad to help out a worthy cause in his name.

Hi all,
After being away from airgunning for more years than I care to remember I decided to get back into it a few months ago and popped along to the Southampton Buccaneers Club to find out how much things had changed, my last rifle was a Theoben Scirrocco, and boy have they changed, after much help and debate I decided to start off with an AA 410K thumbhole in .177 for target and a TDR for sorting out the rats that fancy a drink out of my pond at the bottom of my garden.
Knowing what it's like for youngsters starting out without money or decent kit I am always more than willing to help out where I can and my donation is on it's way, I think this is a superb idea and the organisers should be aplauded, hopefully one of these youngsters will become a future champion and represent our country one day.
Rob.

Hi Chris,
You should have another £20 in the fund. I hope this can resolve the arguement between two good guys.
If not, you've still got the money in the account.

Chris & Dave.Hi Chris, can I please introduce myself as anew member to the bbs site and also to the computerworld (having a great frustrating time finding my way round as you can imagine) I assume the above project is still up and running and would like to donate but do not have access to paypal please advise how else I can send donation . Best regards and good luck with your future fund raising Gerald.

Having been a member for only a short while I am very impressed with how informative, helpful and very friendly all the members I have been in contact with are.
I am a member of a few forums through various hobbies and must say this is one with the least amount of bitching.
I have made a small donation, hope it helps your cause.
Happy shooting.

Lottery Grants and such are a great idea.
I was recently involved in getting a sports grant for my daughters sports club so that they could go to Germany.
Was a bit of a nightmare getting it sorted as had to make sure that the organisations Constitution and child protection policy was up to date and had to have a child protection officer in place.:confused:
Not sure how this would work with the Combo fund but maybe could do something through UKAHFT?

I think this needs to be here, from Clifftop:
It gives me great pleasure to confirm that (once all payments have been received) there will be a donation of approximately £150 to Chris Cundey's juniors fund as a result of the AirgunBBS badge order.
I'd like to thank everyone who has paid for a badge, well done you all.
For those who were too late to order or were not able to confirm their order, I will be doing this again in the New Year.:)
Cliff.
