Hello All

I am looking to buy a new scope for my Air Rifle, I want a fixed mag and an IR.

Hawke have the Nite-Eye 6x44 with IR centre dot or the Endurance 4x42 with IR centre cross. I will be shooting rabbits at about 50yards really and mainly shoot at Dawn/Dusk/Night.

Both scopes are of identical optic spec.

Will the 4x42 be enough mag or should i get the 6x44 /

Has anybody had a Hawke scope with IR ? What do you think of it ?
Any advice welcome before i buy.

Thanks
John...

I use a s&b 6 x 42 fixed at rabbits a 50yards with my rimfire........i would not go any lower then x6 myself.
I do use a 1-5 x 20 simmons on my .22 air rifle at times but only really for woodlands and short range shots, 10yards -40yards (not at night) perfer a little more mag as i only go for head shots, and x4 can be a little limiting on air rifle at 50 yards!!:o
rimfire is a little more forgiving at that range.:)
