The ratings declared on the lasers have NOTHING to do with the output. We believe it's a reference to the power consumption and possibly a reference guide to output.
A 100mw LED torch has significantly less power than (say) a 35mw laser.....
If you have an older S.B. unit, chances are it's a lower powered version, that might be matched by one classed as 70mw. They did sell a few rated at 85mw and these went out the door priced at £245.
The latest 90mw lasers are noticeably better than the S.B. ones.
There are some "200mw" lasers coming later this week. They are not as compact as the 90mw ones, so sell for a bit less, but have a variable output switch making them ideal for airgun use. They will be at least as bright as the "90mw" ones, and will allow you to 'spot' rabbits 150-200 yards away. They sell for £205 delivered.
HTH.

:D :D :D
Yeah........... ???
It/they look like the newer ones. But the way we test for power, is to put one/several up against a 'benchmarked' laser.;)
If it's weaker, we know which it is. If it's the same it's a later one ....

the only other thing i can say is
at night if i make the beam tight(into a spot through the sight) it will put a red dot on a wall about 5 to 6 feet away.
