It deserved it...

I've been trying to find a laser with which to use with my falcon 2.5 NV scope.

A bit of research on the forum at this thread:
http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=155093

Has led me onto **** and a seller called tradingexpert.
Now theres 2 laser/torch combo's i've found, that look like they might do the job.

here: http://cgi.************/Green-Laser-Aim-6V-6P-Xenon-flashlight-Sight-Module_W0QQitemZ300049582735QQihZ020QQcategoryZ730 7QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#large_image

and here: http://cgi.************/6V-6P-G60-Xenon-flashlight-Red-Dot-Laser-Sight-Module_W0QQitemZ300049582140QQihZ020QQcategoryZ730 7QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Now i've given these a bit of thought and the following occured to me. If these are similar items to the ones mentioned in the thread above then maybe some of you can shed some light on this?

If it's possible, how do you adjust the laser's aim point to coincide with your zero point with both these lasers? the green laser looks self explanatory, but as for the second, slightly cheaper version?

Whilst i'd be more inclined to go for the green laser (slightly better spec (?) and looks adjustable), how well does this light show up on a night vision scope? Does it just appear as a white dot? or get lost in the picture, as everything comes across in shades of green?

The torch looks a great idea on both for finding the dead rabbits afterwards :D (would stop me trippping over them  )

Bugger. Looks like e bay is a swear word, and as such the links don't work

green laser is item number :300049582735

red laser is item number : 300049582140

Any feedback would be very helpful thanks....

the cheap laser has 2 allen keyholes that adjust the planes(up and down, left and right)so you need a hand when sorting out, one person for looking though the sights and one to adjust the laser. its really easy m8 beleive me;)

Lasers and NV.....

Don't think green laser would work for NV...... not sure.

REd laser would...BUT the regular lasers would proabaly be too bright for NV...you would damage the tube and burn a spot in it.

What you need is an IR laser or one that you can turn down the brightness on.

I think Rusmilitary do them, or get in contact with DOGFOX on this forum.

He was certainly able to supply a very nice variable laser.....much easier to zero with turrets rather than alen keys.......then there is the illuminators and the laser illuminator etc etc etc.....

Good luck
Pete:)

Thanks for the feed back. Either way it looks like the cheap laser's aren't going to do the job i intended, which was range finding. (which is no good as the beam opens out to quickly).

so probably time to go back to the drawing board for a bit and have re-think.

What you want is one of these,,http://suprfile.com/src/1/4mou52u/PB260143.JPG

Its the SB Pro laser,,with adjusting turrets and a dimmer,,which is perfect for NV work. This one has one of the rare SB telescopic mounts which places the laser aprox 4" above the scope. If its what you want,,,I could be persuaded to sell this set-up.

As before, Green and Red not really suitable. Waaay too powerful/bright/wrong frequency.

If you want an IR pointer, I have one. Will be selling it in the sales section VERY soon.
