Very recently got an Ultra.Neat. Handles better than the Hornet which itself is good. Haven't really sighted it in properly yet ( waiting for rain to stop!)but it seems OK. Looks well made. If you have arthritis in your fingers, the cocking knob might cause you pain. Quite heavy push needed. Easy to pressurise with pump. Withdraw loading probe gently and the seals will be fine. I think it is a real bargain considering you get those nice mounts with it. The silencer isn't really up to the job but the Weihrauch one is good. Have counted the number of shots between 11.5 and full power (12.00) but would think plenty. Not much point in pumping it up to the max. of 200 bar. as power drops below 10 ft. lbs.

I have got a BSA Ultra MS and it is ace. Small, packs a good punch and ideal for shooting from a car or for rats in a barn. It is extremely quiet with the weihrauch silencer on it as quiet as the best airguns out there. I have many rifles and would truely say that this gets the most use. I would highly recommend it to anyone!!

Pile of poo

Stupid cocking system. Hornet is far superior as is the 410K

if you have your heart set on the bsa ultra and can get a John Bowkett blueprinted one then they are a great rifle m8 and very quiet...cocking is smoother once tuned by JB and not a pile of poo...but if in your price range a s400 series rifle suits you then they are better but once again its what suits you :D

Good little guns if you can get on with it, I liked mine.

Would not recommend it as a plinker/target gun though, the shot count is just far to low - Perfect for a hunting session though.

well changed me mind after using the gun and getting the power sorted its ace well worth the money. I think bsa need to sort them out as mine was chrony'd at 7.8flb and that my friends is ****e, and this was brand new out the box, but like i said turned power up without having to change any parts so now tunned to 11.6flb with air arms field .177...

Just got myself a .22 Ultra Multishot and to be fair, I was expecting a cheap multishot
that I could use for close quarters ratting and not much else.

What I got was a quality little accurate rifle, which does everything it say's on the
tin. 1 hole groups at 30mtrs and although the supplied silencer is at most adequate,
I have fitted an HW silencer and it is very quiet.

The cocking mechanism takes a bit of getting used to, but it is not uncomfortable
to use, just different from most conventional cocking mechanisms. I understand
that John Bowkett makes this action a lot more user friendly by reducing the amount
of effort required to cock it.

Nice Beech stock with good chequering makes it nice to hold and it comes on aim
extremely easily.

The magazine system is not as good as my HW100 or Daystate, but it is getting better
with use so I am hopefully it will keep improving over the life of the rifle.

I was trying not to be as precious with this little gun as I am with my other more
expensive rifles, but alas, I can't help myself. I am really pleased with this little rifle
and for £340 all in, including silencer and scope mounts, it is really good value for
money.

All in all I am really quite chuffed with it.

Ive had mine for about 2 months and despite having to return it once because the power was low at about 7.5 foot/pounds, its a cracking little rifle. I use a gen1 xvd system and have taken out more rats since using this rifle than any of my other rifles. In fact I cant remember missing one accept when I forgot to cycle the pellet loading bolt. The only thing I dont like about it is that when you release the sprung pellet loading bolt it makes a fair bit of noise in the dead of night but it hasnt been a real problem. For the money I cant fault. Its light, consistant and accurate. I like it!

Just hold your thumb over the end of the loading bolt and control it as it comes out...no noise :)

Biggest problems with the .177 are too few shots, and 230bar working pressure.
Youngsters find cocking can be a problem.

PS Just realised this is the review section.
