The HW is much quieter, but much longer. Also getting a tiny amount of clipping . This could be because the end cap on the muzzle flip on my FTR had slightly unthreaded (LH thread), or because the mod had seated eccentrically. May also be due to flyers because of magazine alignment.
The CC mod is neat and shorter, but noisier. Probably insignificant after 20 m in the open. It seems to be modelled on the Manders style mod, with springs & washers. I had one of these on my .22RF. It was very short and really quiet. I blew it to bits using Stingers, which was a bit worrying.
Will be testing both back to back with magazine/ single pellet tray to sort out what is what. Bottom line will be group size.

My Daystate Compact CF silencer doesn't have springs and washers in it, it's got an airstripper cone in it.
Have they changed the design then?

I have the HW silencer on both my MK3 RT and FT-R and they are super quiet. The Daystate silencer is good but the HW is noticably quieter in my opinion!
Good luck

You are right. There don't seem to be springs and washers in there, but I can't actually open it. I read that there were....

The front just unscrews on mine - no washers or springs inside.
I've never read any reports that suggest they've got springs and washers in other than your first post. Where did you read that?
Something else that's worth mentioning is that the Daystate silencer is .177 specific whereas the HW can be used on .22's as well.

There was an article in Shooting Sports a couple of months ago on Daystate carbon mods, and they said that the CC was based on the Manders. I just assumed they knew what they were talking about. Obviously not!

Ive just unscrewed the top of my CC and its just a black coned baffle.
Not as quiet as the HW mod i have used, and that is not as good
as the super quiet "Jim Edge" made mod that now sits on my air wolf.

I have both silencers fitted to my rifles and can clearly say the best silencer I have compared to the daystate and weihrauch is the new Logun QGS. It is much quieter!!

I think the HW is quieter than the CC, and the slight sound it does make seems to have a less disturbing (to the quarry) pitch.
I also had a slight clipping problem with the HW silencer, but fitting an o-ring onto the male thread of the harrier before fitting the silencer seems to have cured the problem. Don't know why, but worth a try????
