Quick review of my new lamp after just upgrading from a Logun.

Lamp

Build quality is not as high as the Logun and the plastic mouldings are not in the same league. This does not affect functionality and the rabbits don't seem to care! The lamp has a better attachment meaning that the connector can be left on the scope; I have heard reports that the conector can get a little slack on the scope over time but it looks unlikely as it is fairly snug on there.

The beam on red filter is very narrow; I haven't used it on white yet. My first night I had one rabbit but the last few evenings they have fled as I got closer. Considering how stealthlike I have been (quiet, downwind etc) I am not convinced the red filter has made much difference. I feel that perhaps the disadvantage of a narrow beam is that the rabbits can sense the darkness outside of that beam. I hunt on a Monday with some lads with a Cluson. It lights up all the surrounding area (on red) and the bunnies seem to sit around longer. In summary I feel that the beam should be wider and that is my only disappointment. Would welcome your views.

Finally, the dimmer function is great. I think a mistake I am making is to taking the lamp of the bunnies whilst I get ready for the shot; this change of light conditions is perhaps the real reason why they are bolting?

Battery/Leads

The dimmer switch is a little oversized but can be attached to the gun. Connectors are a little fiddly. Battery life is about an hour which is adequate. Charging time seems about 3 hours, perhaps because I haven't completley discharged it.

Overall
A nice piece of kit but I would have liked to see a wider beam.

Good report. I have the Deben Tactical. Very similar to yours but battery is all stock mounted. Found it much brighter than the Logun lamps.
