At the risk of boring you, here are a few pics of my setup. It is arranged with three low-profile dovetail to weaver mounts, two each are used by the day scope, a JSR 6-24x50mm AO with sunshade. This is fitted with Leupold QRW rings, and my NV scope, Titanium NVRS 2.5x40mm Gen 2+.

The set up allows for quick swap between day and night scopes with little loss of zero. Clive of NV fame has made a couple of suggestions that I intend to implement, and hopefully these will reduce any loss of zero to virtually nil.

Those eagle eyed amongst you may notice the front of the NV scope is non-standard. This is the result of having quite a successful experiment with a video camera 2x teleconverter. Normal doublers for this scope are almost impossible to come by, and the price is usually heading towards the £100 mark. I bought the 2x converter off a well known auction site for £9.99 and then machined up an adapter out of some Delrin rod. This is a tight push fit onto the scope, and I have epoxied one of the converter stepping rings (supplied with the converter) into the Delrin. There is a degradation in quality, but I think it will probably be worth it. It seems better with the illuminator in use.

Hope you find this interesting

The scope is indeed the one without any focussing at the objective end.

Well the scope wasn't new when I got it, as was evident by some marking on the front element securing ring so I didn't mind having a bit of a fiddle. With care it is possible to adjust the focus (in much the same way as you can alter parallax on non AO day scopes) by unscrewing the lock ring and moving the front element. It was easy to bring the scope to focus at airrifle type range I have a feeling that there should have been a further small lock screw on the scope in the 12.00 oclock position but this was missing when I got it (I've sealed the hole with a small blob of silicon).

Nice looking set-up there mate.

I was considering mounting mine on my HW100, but wasn't sure if I could
lug it about in the field all night.

Might get a bipod and give it a go after seeing yours.

Nice thing about NV is you can spot your targets and then drop down to use the bipod without spooking them.
