yukon ir led 100mw packed up? any ideas?

Hi,
My yukons ir illuminators not working despite a clean of the inside, which was a bit corroded and I have fitted new (varified) fresh batteries. Is that it, or are they fixable? I was under the impression that led's last a long time, however having said that I have no idea how old this one is.
And incase Lewis reads this, I have no problem with you as it was clearly working when I bought it and has worked fine until today :)

check the batteries are in the right way first ,then check the battery spring pull the spring to stretch it a bit then check the metal casing is not dirty ,if that do,s not work you need a new led ;)

I used a multimeter to confirm a circuit and checked the batteries were correct so i guess its the led. Can I get them cheap or is it a bin job?
